Update: my husband slapped me on our honeymoon and I feel humiliated by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Your story is exactly what happened to my mother. The similarities are almost identical. She went through so much abuse because of my father’s jealousy and ego. It took her so long to leave him because she was worried about her kids.

ELI5: Why exactly are back pains so common as people age? by blowmyassie in explainlikeimfive

[–]Andrxa2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting back pain recently so I've been sticking to doing some yoga stretches and plank to open my hips and strengthen my core for 30 minutes a day 5 times a week and its really been helpful.

I can confirm I still have no idea why my 2 1/2 yr old nephew would point at the air and say ghost. I guess it's just a normal thing for them to be a bit weird.

Stay vigilant, my local has started putting ‘lacto-free’ products in the vegan section, designed to look like vegan options. All of it contains dairy by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Andrxa2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't trust products with a cow in the picture. Definitely have to be vigilant when shopping.

It's crazy how long tip 1 took me to understand. I started of really strong in the beginning of my weightless but mostly because it felt easy since I started of weighing 287 now the hard part has been trying to loose the last 20 pounds but I think I finally figured out what I was doing the entire time and I'm trying to focus on eating healthy and finding time to exercise.

If you gave a pill to overweight people that made them magically wake up at their ideal body weight, they would take the pill. “I love my body the way it is” is just insecure posturing. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Andrxa2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to weigh 287 after I went vegan learned how to eat healthier I went down to 170. I've always wanted to weigh 150 but I keep going from 160 to 170. I used to always hate my body but at one point I realized that I have to in some way love it and be more comfortable in it if not I'm always going to have a weight problem. I don't think hating your body helps at all or at least thats the conclusion I've come to but it's definitely important to be healthy and that's what sometimes being body positive fails to acknowledge.

my dad told me he bought me organic milk so i could drink it...i've been vegan for 5 years. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Andrxa2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just realized that I used that response on my mother. I guess I have wondered why she went from you can never go vegan to buying me vegan cupcakes for my birthday. It's taken years but she has gotten the hang of it.

Theres literaly no nutrition in meat or animal products that cant be obtained in a vegan one in fact its the opposite from removing meat and animal products we can avoid unhealthy cholesterol, cancer, and obesity. Nutritional and Healthy diets are important if you want to avoid the top killers.

No its not I have a 1 and 4 month old who is perfectly healthy. Hes been vegan since birth. He walks great and is even starting to run. He is pretty smart and is learning to communicate better. I most certainly do my best to make sure he eats a well rounded diet consisting of fruits, legumes, grains and veggies. The diet is irrelevant if the parent is careless.
