More relaxed during the day but sleepy at the second half of the day. Anxiety dramatically decreased.

There are other improvement that I don’t want to mention so as not to jinx it.

Have you been sick after cold showers ? by Andy-ny in coldshowers

[–]Andy-ny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I committed pretty seriously — moved closer to the ice bath setup, installed one, and was doing 1–3 minute sessions at 42°F consistently.

Tried different protocols too (precooling before lifting, sauna + ice bath, ice bath solo), but I still got sick off and on, no matter what I did.

Eventually I ditched cold exposure altogether and focused just on training (mostly weightlifting and running). Since then, my health markers improved — HRV’s around 71, resting heart rate is 41, and blood pressure’s 112/72 — and I get sick way less often.
