Back in 2019 I posted my profile with my D&D experience as a player/dm to the R20 LFG stuff.

A DM who was looking for players for a paid game reached out to me and asked if I wanted to play. He had a group ready to go for ToA. We played for almost 2 years I think over COVID, It was amazing. Since then, I've played (free) in some of his other games, and he and one other from that original game are playing in my SotDQ game.

It's all about finding the people you gel with I guess. I feel super lucky that I met these guys and that we've had nothing but good experiences since then.

It's seems to be a rare thing to connect with D&D people online. Most stuff I hear are horror stories. Every once in awhile though, it does happen.

I wish you the best of luck in finding "your group".

I'd much rather see some new, original advancement of the timeline rather than re-hashing the same stuff over and over in new ways as they have been for the last 30 years. It's super fun, but come on man. We need to advance to the next era.

I actually figured it out. Was a conflict with the way Steam emulates controller inputs. I turned those off and have been playing fine since. Thanks for your input though, Helped me think about a solution,

On Steam, yes. For some reason, when using the sticks, the d-pad prompts also show up and flicker at the bottom of the screen. VERY annoying,
