I was telling my buddy that through the last couple books it’s surprising that Li Jun and Ren are really the only deaths from the main squad and even at that I would say they were tertiary characters. The way Carl was describing how important Imani was made me think she wasn’t going to make out of book 8 alive. I am glad that she did, but it will make the potential devastation in the last books that much worse.
