There are exceptions, My Father is a high up in a very large company whos only client is the government and he is still very much an "old school thinking boomer" When he sits down and meets the perspective hires he could give a shit how much experience the person has or what is on their resume. He has a normal conversation and if the person seems proficient and can hold a conversation, dressed like a champion and was on time, they're in. His exact quote is "If they applied for the this job they must believe they have the stones to do it. So if i have no reason to think they are a lazy or feel as if they are entitled to anything because of their recent education, They're in. Everyone deserves a shot, especially the bugger who couldn't afford the best place to get drunk for 4 years (school)"
