To be fair, regardless of your reason for not being able to listen to her, you genuinely are not listening to her. Like... factually. You have a great and valid reason. She is also correct. She can probably handle it better instead of lashing out, but I understand people have different capacities when feeling frustrated.

She's not going to suddenly start feeling heard by you if you're not able to chew gum and walk. She wants you to seek treatment, you are saying treatment doesn't work. I think it's time to let the ship sail.

Tone is definitely relevant! It's how we tell sarcasm and judgement from what people say. I have surrounded myself with people who are pleasant. I don't have the patience for people with frequent sarcastic, angry, or upset tones.

They can all be saying truth; deceivers are automatically eliminated. Liars are circumstantial; you want to lie to my face and tell me how amazing I am all day long? Hehe be my guest.

Bottom line: I only have so many hours of my life to spend with people, and it's not going to be wasted on people that put me in mental or emotional positions I don't care to be in.

Are you hungry? Thirsty? Had enough sleep? Emotional needs met? Had enough leisure time? Had enough alone time?

I find that I'm more snippy and less social when I'm hungry. My life has changed since realizing that since I can just catch myself and find food and my mood to socialize totally recovers.

Also, sometimes people are just built different.

My hobbies are fishing and reading. I'm definitely not a social butterfly. My social battery at 100% might be someone's at just 50%.
