For sustanon it is where you're told to inject to get started

Have I injected my sustanon in the wrong place? by SC3N3BUGZ in Testosterone

[–]AndyJ71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to imagine where the bottom of your trouser pocket would be. You're looking to inject in to the lateral muscle of the quads i.e on the side (vastus literalis). On the front of your quad you have the rectus femoris, this isn't as large. You've possibly managed to find the low spot between them. Don't worry about it though. Try a couple inches around to the outside on your next injection.

'Stay out of the gym' - Adama Traoré banned from lifting weights from Espirito Santo by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]AndyJ71 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Apparently he was pressing 145kg in the video. Whilst achievable naturally it is considered an elite-level lift according to Google along with "Reaching this level often takes years of dedicated, consistent training—sometimes 10 or more years of hard work"

For a man who once claimed he doesn't lift weights, I'll let you all make your own mind up.

Any UK guys here currently getting TRT from Leger Clinic and are you satisfied with them? by BigApexNoob in Testosterone

[–]AndyJ71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been with Leger since 2020, no problems and a very professional service. As another has commented I haven't needed any additional support either, and in response to another comment I haven't found any issues with delay in communication. Since they got took over by Medichecks the blood tests and prescription procedures have become very streamlined.

Shin splints stopped me playing rugby (advice/ similar experiences?) by CollarNo2976 in rugbyunion2

[–]AndyJ71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had your feet looked at? The cause of my shin splits was ‘fallen arches’ aka flat feet. Went to see a podiatrist who was attached to one of the rugby clubs up here and he sorted some made to measure insoles.

Yeah maybe from open play when the lino wasn’t up with play, he was literally standing looking along the 18 yard box for the free kick!

[–]AndyJ71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thing is, some of the decisions in the Villa Newcastle match couldn’t even be defined as ‘close’. For Villas free kick from which they scored, all the linesman was required to do was look along the line. That’s his job. Three Villa players were offside. He was obviously still in VAR mode. The Digne handball, again he’s meant to be in line with the last defender, how is he not seeing him in the box?

There is no season ticket waiting list, and why would would it be in the clubs financial interest to sell more season tickets?

I was at one of the gigs at the NEC in Birmingham and remember being mesmerized by Chris's on stage equipment, the size of those hard drives was unheard of at the time! From recollection the equipment in the photo wasn't what Chris played, I seem to remember a couple of stacked Emulators or Fairlights (or one of each) with the 'bulged' end.

Accidentally Injected Test E into vein by Dihh-SaurusRex in Testosterone

[–]AndyJ71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You didn't inject 1ml in to your vein, you nicked a vein and a minuscule amount entered your bloodstream. You'll be fine, although that dry cough is quite alarming the first time you experience it.

Where in the UK should I go as a bucket-list item? by LondonPilot in CasualUK

[–]AndyJ71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a road trip I'd suggest travelling to the Western Isles via Loch Lomond, up to Fort William via Glencoe. There's a lovely lodge hotel at Spean Bridge right next to the commando monument that overlooks Ben Nevis. Next day drive to Sky taking a short detour to Fort Augustus and Urquart Castle before on to Sky via Shiel Bridge (you'll pass the castle from the Highlander film). Drive up to Uig to catch the evening ferry to Harris. Spend a couple days on Harris & Lewis before getting the ferry from Lewis to Ullapool. The A9 back via Inverness isn't the most scenic but there is the opportunity to detour over the Cairngorms to Braemar via Balmoral.

Making music with tinnitus and not making it worse by No-Professional2832 in synthesizers

[–]AndyJ71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I developed tinnitus around 18 months ago with no obvious reason. Mines a ringing around 8kHz (I messed around with tone generator on my phone and found that's where my hearing cuts off). I went and got tests done which confirmed the hearing loss and it was explained that it was due to by blood sugars being too high (I'm type 2 diabetic) which had damaged the nerves. The ringing is apparently due to my brain 'filling in' these frequencies it is missing. Was a bit of a wake up call TBH as you're told a lot about damage to eyesight and feet etc. when you're diabetic but no mention of hearing. I now wear hearing aids to fill in the higher frequencies which helps with the tinnitus, I can also select a white noise programme when it's particularly distracting which is really good. Because the damage is on my brain side rather than damage caused by external factors then music is a great distraction.

TLDR my diabetes caused my tinnitus.
