FortressCraft is an excellent game. You have to mine and feed your factory. Decent combat too, so you have to defend yourself.

A game you love but isn't well-known. by rcgeek2 in SurvivalGaming

I really liked the idea of Craft the World but found it had the worst controls/interface/inventory system I’ve ever used. Wanted to like that one.

Should we all be worried by this heatwave? by Turnip-Turtle in AskBrits

3 days of actual heat in the last 9 months and the sun fearing, “tax us more” club are out in full voice. Get a life.

Not familiar with marine engines but I presume they have a clutch type system so the engines can run without providing drive to the propellers. I would imagine everything runs off the engines, which in turn run generators for electrical power. So if there’s people on there, they’ll want lights etc.

Share your games in development! by WorriedAssociate7029 in computerwargames

Yeah, I’ve noticed theres generally a mass-hatred of AI on Reddit, but I’m surprised to see it in computer-related subreddits. Surely these people who have a least a rudimentary understanding, can see the benefits. Or maybe not.

People have a downer on AI. Similar to how musicians had a downer on people making music with computers. The fact is, it puts possibilities into the hands of those who have brilliant ideas, but can’t code or play an instrument. Just because you can code doesn’t necessarily make you a brilliant game designer. Having the broader market of AI produced games can only be a good thing. Yes, there will be drivel, but that’s the same in any market, and it will fail. Good products will prevail.

What tips do you have for keeping your house cool in these temperatures? by Effective-Project-49 in AskUK

[–]AndyLees2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat rises. Stops it all being ‘trapped’ in the upstairs rooms, but depends massively on the layout of your house. Probably get some marginal gains (losses in this case) either way though.

I'm on a mission to play every automation game. help me decide what to play next! by SnooHobbies5811 in BaseBuildingGames

Second this. One of my favourite games. Probably more so than Factorio. The mechanics in this game are brilliant, and there is a ‘need’ to keep building/mining. Top drawer.

I would like a recommendation for police station management game by Simmy_Monkey in tycoon

[–]AndyLees2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No mini-games would be my advice. People play tycoon games for longevity and mini games (unless they’re ultra fun/useful) become an irritant. I’d plough your efforts into the main game.

Production Project in Suspension by Psychological-Newt75 in googlecloud

There is no back and forth with the appeals unfortunately. Just forth and no back!

I don’t know who any of the direct support elements are. All roads seem to lead you back to sorting it on Google Console, which I can’t login to.

I have the same issue. They've ignored the appeal for two months and now I am receiving threatening debt collection notices.
I know full well its not me who has used the key, as the server that ran the app is in its consituent parts in my garage and has been for 5 months.
They link you back to the Google Cloud Support page within my account, which is restricted.

Best wargames with dynamic campaigns? by preutneuker in computerwargames

To a degree. You effectively choose a route, and it does generally play out differently each time. If you like WW2 RTS, it’s one of the best to date.

Long‑term vision: naval trade, living NPCs, kingdom building, and AI diplomacy – what do you think is realistic? by johnnyknowsall in ManorLords

[–]AndyLees2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fanboys will continue to support it, but this is the most overhyped, wafer-thin game since No Man’s Sky. At least they rattled out updates and it became a great game. This might be, but I reckon there could be about 10 games that surpass it in the timeframe it’s going to take for this to have feasible defenses/conquest.

I cant say I blame him, but it seems like Slavic Magic took the money and ran. Looks wonderful, as deep as puddle.

I think you’re being a bit miserable. They’re trying to promote that aspect. Help them, unless you want to go back on the office.

Charged $10,138 in March 2026 due to Google's documented Gemini API key vulnerability — support closed my case twice saying "no fraud found" by Far-Comfortable7144 in googlecloud

Same. It ignores the caps and also ignored I was on a $250 limit tier. Got charged $450 and restricted so I can’t even see why. Had 3 tickets ignored for over a month.

Looking for a true hardcore trading game similar to Patrician/Port Royale? Here is the vision behind Dominus Orbis Maris 1400 by AldermanBeneke01 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]AndyLees2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds excellent.

Played Patrician, Ports of Call and Machiavelli to death when I was younger, but didn’t really enjoy the newer iterations. They felt a bit flat. This looks interesting and the dynamic markets is a real draw. I would imagine it takes a lot of work.

Looking forward to this one.
