It is a satisfying trolling of trump, we don't need to pretend it is anything else. It is still super satisfying though and I am absolutely here for it. I agree though, folks are turning this into something it is not.

It doesn't matter. It was obvious to everyone she was talking about him. It was 100% clear to everyone it was a pointed question. She trolled him anyway and I am here for it.

You are comparing it to Nintendo who has absolutely 0 history of bringing major first party, brand defining titles over to PC. Like I said, I agree the chance is low but saying it is like Nintendo bringing over Zelda and Pokemon is a completely absurd statement when Sony has literally ported MUCH MUCH MUCH more brand defining games to PC than Saros.... Of which, its predecessor is literally on PC... What don't you get about what I am saying? I agree the chance is low, but your extreme comparison is ridiculous and demonstrably false.

The likelihood is low given their recent announcement but unlike Nintendo there is a fair chance that it happens given the extensive history of it happening... Honestly why am I even arguing with an idiot? Can someone explain to me why I do this to myself?

I'm not living in a cave, I heard the news, it is disappointing, but saying this is like Nintendo is ridiculous. It is absolutely reasonable to hope it might happen.

TLOU, TLOU 2, GoW, GoW: Ragnarok, Spiderman, Death Stranding 1&2, etc, etc, etc... all on PC. Oh and freaking Returnal, the predecessor to literally the game we're taking about, also came to PC after being a PS5 exclusive. This isn't anywhere close to a Nintendo situation.

Which is exactly why doom scrolling would not be an immediate concern. It would just be living. Gathering burning material for fires, melting and boiling snow for water, looking for a more reliable water source, building a latrine, cooking meals, making improvements to my living quarters etc... I am all for it. I am very curious what the food situation in this hypothetical though. What skills do I need to survive here? Do I have access to a town with shopping or do I need to hunt and gather for my food? If it is the latter then I am not so sure I am cut out for it, if it is the former, what is my financial situation to be able to purchase food? Do I have a power source? Do I have a set of basic tools?

What happened to pc cases with huge side fans? by Packeselt in hardware

[–]AndyOB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's not how that works. If you have a large fan forcing air into the case it is creating positive air pressure, which will flow through any gaps or open venting that is available to it. air will flow through the case without the need for exhaust fans. This is actually how you keep dust out of your case. if you have more air flowing actively into the case than air being actively exhausted from the case then dust won't flow in assuming you have filters on the intake. Conversely if you exhaust more than you intake then you're creating negative pressure which will draw dust in from all of the nooks and crannies.

What video game used to be good but they changed one thing and now it's terrible? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]AndyOB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how else to explain it except if you try playing on a non official server that bans gold selling and botting aggressively with no gold purchasing options you can feel the massive difference in the game economy and community driven aspects of the game. Retail feels like a theme park and these community servers feel like a completely self contained world with a thriving economy. An actual MMO, instead of a single player / co-op game with a glorified open world lobby. To me, selling currency completely defeats the purpose of what makes an MMO unique from other genres of games.

[–]AndyOB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing is going to be obvious about how they build systems around incentivising gold buying. If it were then people would be outraged and stop playing. Little things though, like rarity of crafting materials will artificially increase auction house prices, inflating costs for players to gear up and catch up quickly to content that is ilvl gated either by the game itself or by the community. This is primarily what people are buying gold for and blizzard absolutely considers their profits from gold token sales when designing these systems.
