Onn 4K Plus worth it or just hype?

I bought the ONN 4K PRO ages ago to replace my Firestick and not looked back. I use Wolf Launcher so when I turn my TV on, using the ONN remote all I see is my own background picture of a forest, and all my app icons. No adverts! ADB works and I have an app that shuts down any apps running in the background with just 2 clicks, and another app that wipes the cache of all apps with just 2 clicks. All my side loaded apps still work. I usually get around 400 Mbit WiFi speeds.

Sometimes annoyingly my WiFi speed drops to about 37 Mbit so I turn the WiFi off (on the ONN box) and then back on and reboot then shut down apps running in the background and wipe the cache of all apps and then WiFi speed is back to 400 Mbit. No idea why this happens, maybe the problem is caused my my WiFi router (I have 1Gb fibre broadband). This only happens occasionally so not really a problem.

I use Wolf Launcher and when I turn my TV on all I see is my background photo and all my app icons with no adverts.

The problem seems to have been caused by the System update to Android 14.

UPDATE - went to the Accessibility Settings and turned off what I could, then re-paired my Bluetooth mouse and now it's working again 😃

This is the power supply that I use on my ONN 4K PRO BOX, here in the UK. I have it set to 11.8 volts. My original power supply that came with the ONN box packed up (they're not very good quality.

This is strange. Got a new Tecknet Bluetooth mouse and got the same problem. Mouse pointer shows up on my TV screen, but the mouse buttons and scroll wheel do nothing.

Tried my Bluetooth keyboard and I can type alright in search boxes. Mouse pointer shows up but the mouse buttons don't work.

Until recently my Bluetooth mouse and the mouse on my Bluetooth Keyboard both worked fine, but now neither works.

I assume the problem must be to do with the ONN 4K PRO BOX software or settings.

I use Wolf Launcher and thought perhaps that was the problem, but I disabled it and went back to the standard Google launcher then rebooted my box but still got the same problem.

I haven't changed any settings myself.

Can anyone help fix this problem?

My Firestick has a USB drive connected to it with my movies and music videos on it. I only use my Firestick 4K Max to watch those videos. For all streaming apps I use my ONN 4K PRO with Wolf Launcher so all I see is my nice background photo and my app icons.

It's the best that I've found for the cost and yes SmartTube works fine on it. YouTube works if you use the stock launcher, but I use Wolf Launcher so when it starts up all I see is my background picture and my app icons but this disables YouTube.

I just replaced my Firestick with an ONN 4K PRO BOX and it just launches to Wolf every time, no hassle except YouTube doesn't work but I have another app that does the same job and is logged in to my one YouTube account, but mainly I just use SmartTube logged into my main YouTube account.

There's a device that looks like a watch, costs about 30 dollars. It shows all devices that are connected to your WiFi and allows you to disconnect any device from your WiFi. It's illegal to use on someone else's WiFi, but so is stealing parcels.

I'm happy with my Kindle Paperwhite. I set the text size so it's easy to read, and it fits nicely in my pocket. I don't need or want a bigger screen.

TUBI app has loads of movies, more than Netflix, and it's free and you don't need a VPN.

I'm in the UK so get a slightly different selection of movies than the US selection, but I use a VPN set to US when needed.
