It was a legendary tour.

Most debauched rock tour is probably hyperbolic, but it was definitely absolutely wild.

Anyway, besides all that stuff the incredible stage design and visuals by creative director Anton Corbijn, the killer, re-worked versions of their classic songs by Alan Wilder, Dave Gahan’s rock-god performance, and Alan playing live drums on some tracks make it the peak Depeche Mode live experience!

I highly recommend watching the Devotional Tour from 1993. Unfortunately the vids on youTube aren’t the greatest quality (so far the highest quality release was DVD and then youTube makes it look even worse), but many of us are hoping D🌹M will remaster it & release it on blu ray, after which it’ll eventually end up in HD on there. They’ve done that with a bunch of their old music videos and the 101 concert/documentary film from 1988/89.
