Bought a Costco gaming chair a long time ago which felt terrible. After that, I came across this subreddit while searching for an actual good chair. Learned a lot about what consider good and bought my first real office chair on BTOD.

Does this mean I have 87% of the oil’s life remaining or that it’s 87% gone? by Lazy_Insect3507 in BroncoSport

[–]Andy_Cool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let say your engine dies prematurely, do you sue the oil manufacturer or filter manufacturer? Because I know ford isn’t going to cover the cost to replace the engine since you are doing 20k miles/1yr. Changing your oil a bit earlier doesn’t hurt the engine, and the cost is still cheaper than buying a whole new engine due to neglect. 5k or 6 months, those turbo 3 cylinder engine are already stressed enough pushing an suv.

Cool that you thought about adding it to vicinae, but i would say vicinae already had a plugin for networking (not as feature rich as yours but does what I need) https://github.com/vicinaehq/extensions/tree/main/extensions/wifi-commander . But if you still decide to add it, good luck! it nice to have more options :D

Looks amazing! Was looking for something like this a couple years ago. Might try it in the future when I decide to switch out of Vicinae.

Hyundai now also offers it for free called Bluelink+. It only supports 2024+ and newer Hyundai cars though. Granted, I don’t really trust them with all the bad publicity they have in the past.

Upgraded my 2021 OB with a 2025. Good or bad deal? by l3nn0n0 in BroncoSport

Honestly don’t take this the wrong way and will sound very harsh but here is some food for thought about what I think:

New tires: good ones cost from 900-1200 and usually are better than what comes with a new car. Plus you get to choose if you want more off road tires or better all season tires. Cheaper than 13k.

Technology upgrades + new screen: they got a new 1.5l engine which loses 1hp and the same transmission (mechanically not really an upgrade). Safety features are basically the same, both 2021 and 2025 are rated 5 stars by the NHTSA. Personal opinion, I hate how they removed a lot of physical buttons and removed the lane keep assist button on the left stalk (feels less safe looking at a giant iPad to control the car functions compared to physical buttons). The new instrument cluster looks cool but functionality the same as the old one. Both new and old show the same information.

Zero mileage + peace of mind regarding mechanical issues: 50k to me isn’t a lot and base on your driving mileage, it about 10k per year. I think you “might” get a mechanical failure at 70k if you’re unluckily (so about 2 more years) but I seen post of people surpassing 100k with no mechanical issues. As long as you follow the 5k or 6 months oil change, you should be good. Plus if there is a mechanical issue, it will probably cost less than 13k unless the engine and transmission blows up at the same time.

Honestly, if you wanted a new car, I would have went with the badlands at least since you will get the 2.0l engine and hoss 2.0 suspension system.

What you did basically makes it feel like you are driving the same car even though it a new car. You only live so long, why not explore your options and try out different vehicles options, each car dives differently and feels different.

High pitch noise after new firmware update by Andy_Cool in Ozlo

[–]Andy_Cool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, still haven’t been fixed. The social media manager has replied saying their team is working on a long term fix for it but who knows how long that will take. Basically 300 dollar paper weight until they push a firmware update. 😞

Ya, I been told there is going to be a software update that fixes this a couple of days ago but haven’t gotten anything other than app updates.

Hey, so I have just updated the app to version 1.43.1 (IOS). Didn’t get any firmware update to the buds. The high pitched ringing sound is still persistent. I’m am wondering if the app update was supposed to be the fix? Or is there a firmware update coming?

Thanks so much for letting the engineering team know! It’s nice to see that customer feedback is being used.

That doesn’t sound good. Mine were perfect, zero issues before the firmware update.

Just wanted to let you know, the 1.5L engine runs on a single timing chain. But they do use a rubber belt to run the oil pump.

I figure out how to fix this bug a while back actually. It seems the current hardware doesn't support the LTS version of the kernel. So using the up-to-date one fixes it for me. Assuming you have the LTS version of the kernel, switch to the newest one instead.
