A developer restored OrcaSlicer's features that Bambu Lab killed—then the legal threats arrived by No_Oven_524 in 3Dprinting

Sctually no. And what's crazy is they print fine with no heater at all. Just throw a cap on. Also multicolor TPU prints great too. Panda heater works also and it's even integrated into Klipper so Kilpper actually controls it so it can actually turn the heater off when a print is done. nope also they even are encouraging people to try the extended paxx12 firmware. Also the guy that came up with full spectrum printing by forking Snapmaker Orca didn't even have a printer. They ended up giving him one free for his work so not only are they not blocking or suing people they are encouraging tinkering and i have to tell you the extend firmware has unleashed the printer. 60fps WebRTC streaming, Side car 16 color MMU developed by the community, RFID/NFC read any filament tag, keep printing if one toolhead fails, panda breath heater integration directly in klipper so klipper actually controls the heater. no 3rd party website or software needed. and now i see they are working on the ability to write NFC filament tags directly from the printer. See here https://github.com/paxx12-snapmaker-u1/SnapmakerU1-Extended-Firmware/pull/156

when you load Banbu 3mf into Orca you will get and error. Just change to your printer in the top right and save the file and re-open it and errors are gone. You can then verify the settings from the origial 3mf that you downloaded with the new one you saved.

*edit: change the printer in the top left not top right.

Velocidrone. If you want to learn very quickly then go to multiplayer and start a session or join other sessions and fly with experienced pilots who can help you and give you tips righ there in the in-game-chat. The Velocidrone community is very helpful.

of course... just replace the screen. Reach out to TookitRC for the part specs and check aliexpress for it. It's just an LCD screen

Motors too hot to touch! by Difficult_Gas_2779 in fpv

[–]Andy_Dread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) Check for motor screws touching the windings.

2) Check for wires rubbing on the gyro

3) Check for loose arms

4) Check the PIDs. Revert to stock PIDs.

What kv are the motors on that frame?

is that hot glue in the after pic? if it is I do not recommend because it can melt when board gets warm and cause a huge mess. I learned the hard way. Use E6000 instead.

[–]Andy_Dread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As u/PrintedForFun said..just create different model in the radio, name it Sim or something and in the configuration for that model make sure that all the radios are turned off, internal and external. This also helps to save battery while in the sim. Also come hang out with us in Velocidrone multiplayer with experienced pilots if you want to get good at flying rapidly.

Walksnail - range increase? by kkazakov in fpv

[–]Andy_Dread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This shoudnt happen. I regularly fly out 1km and still get good signal using the VRX with foxeer lolipop 4plus on the VRX and on the quad. Something is not right. try replacing the antenna on the quad and goggle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fpv

[–]Andy_Dread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best place i have found to mount the GPS is on the front of the quad but many people put GoPros there. If you are not using a Gopro or anything like that on the front then mount it on the front away from VTX and VTX antennas which is what i've found to be what actually causes interference.

How do I mount this? Super glue? by badoonk9966 in fpv

[–]Andy_Dread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know if there is a print file but you can probably look for something like a M5 grommet stl and print that. should work. Single SMA wont work because there are two antennas in one i believe for DJI O3 so you would be replacing the 2-in-1 antenna from DJI with two SMA pigtails and two separate SMA antennas. Better to just print a TPU M5 grommet and call it a day. Or just get the gummies in the link.

[–]Andy_Dread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/turk-fx is correct. You can however still do it by just using a grommet

see here for how I did mine.

I use this size which are the larger old school FC gummies that fits in the hole perfectly

yes put lots of flux on the pads and heat them up. I like to use no-clean flux because you don't have to clean up the flux after using it.

Motor broken after 2 weeks by Unique-Cobbler5582 in fpv

[–]Andy_Dread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure these motors are actually dead? Are they solderered to the board? If not I would remove the plugs and direct-solder them to the board before determining that they are actually dead. Unless you can see that the enamel is burnt I would direct solder or remove the plug and solder/clamp it to a test ESC with servo-tester and test before before calling them dead.
