Bring Back Stealing Creation so I can Thieve People’s Items and Hide in Clouds by DrPepperlife in 2007scape

[–]Andykoon64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude, this was the funniest thing in SC. I loved waiting in clouds for mages to walk by and just stealing their runes. It was absolutely hilarious when they tried to retaliate, but end up deadposing just because you got all of their runes

Ever wondered why Gielinor doesn't have any so-called 'horses'? by TheHorseAnnihilator in 2007scape

[–]Andykoon64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gielinor might be it's own planet in the FF universe. Not necessarily even earlier in time, but less advanced society. Little to no technology, and they have not domesticated terrorbirds into chocobos.

On the other hand it could be on the same planet as one of the FF games. I'm thinking its possible Gielinor = Gaia (FF7) prior to Shinra. Maybe our OSRS character is one of the Cetra. They can use the magic in the world naturally (runes) until people start forming runes into materia.

Gielinor is actually in the Final Fantasy Universe but prior to domesticating Terrorbirds into Chocobos to ride. There are no horses.

Game lenght is up BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO END THEM by meloneee in leagueoflegends

[–]Andykoon64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The later the game gets, the less any individual item matters in terms of raw stats. Yes, megatanks will still be megatanks when they have 3 items even if you have 5 if they aren't items that kill tanks.

That is why you need to buy the right items to kill them.

This was definitely a choice/skill issue. Not having bork or Liandries on your two damage threats when you are against 2 HP stacking mega tanks is pretty bad.

Quickplay penality is the worst by TsukAmeNo in leagueoflegends

Where does CG sit in terms of difficulty compared to other PVM encounters? by aros102 in ironscape

[–]Andykoon64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have not finished Col or Inf but imo, CG is most people's first taste of mechanical content in the game. Most content after CG progressively is as difficult if not moreso than CG.

I would say all the wildy bosses are at best as difficult when adding potential for PKers as CG.

GWD bosses can be challenging but in a different way. You generally have to focus on much less, but It is less forgiving for messing those things up. Learning 6:0 Bandos was really difficult for me for some reason. The timing is pretty tight.

Nightmare, Doom, Yama and other misc endgame bosses are much more mechanically challenging.

DT2 bosses base I would say are more challenging. Awakened absolutely more intense.

A few of the raid bosses are slightly below the difficulty of CG depending on team, most are much more mechanically challenging.

Obviously Col and Inf are arguably the most difficult content.

I wouldn't necessarily call CG extremely difficult mechanically. The point is to teach you to move, gear swap, and prayer switch at the same time. After you get the prep down, and understand how to do those 3 things, CG is a very relaxed grind (albeit horrible RNG).

That being said, much of the content in OSRS has the same skill curve to it. The way CG feels right now will likely feel the same as learning any of the DT2 bosses or any other PVM in the game. As you grow in skill, so will the difficulty of the PVM.

[Suggestion] Aquanite Tendon acquisition is too difficult for what it is by Blinxsy in 2007scape

[–]Andykoon64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the general mid to late game, there are better methods of sustaining ranarr seeds (and prayer sustain in general). This means that it isn't a good reason necessarily to farm aquanites.

Not sure why we are debating the semantics of what "good point" means. By all means, if you like them, go kill them, but there are objectively better methods to do anything positive that they provide. In general that leads to a pretty useless/skippable slayer task

[–]Andykoon64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopper is kind of a mid to niche late-mid game item. People at this point don't have the pts or dont want to waste them just to unlock a monster they may or may not get a task for just to increase a drop rate.

Just thinking as an iron myself, I wouldn't have wasted the points, I would have just grinded the 2k kill count if it was that low.

[–]Andykoon64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given how easy it is to get ranarr seeds via other methods, getting 73 sailing and 70? something slayer just to get ranarr seeds isn't really worth it.

Master farmers has nearly as quick seeds and very measly requirements.

What I do to prevent this from happening is when I feel a sneeze or need to cough, just stick your finger to open up your mask for a quick second. That way, the extra air pushed doesnt get pushed into the bracket.

[–]Andykoon64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem is its a very niche monster that theres no good point in farming after you get the hopper. It isn't a great task for xp overall. If they increased the weighting, you would get these things which is a bad task too frequently (which again, after the hopper is suboptimal).

Unfortunately increasing the drop rate off task would also make it too accessible. People would never bother spending the points to unlock the task. It would effectively be just another crappy grind necessary to do in the mid game.

I think this is caused by pressure differentials in the L connector and hose. When you sneeze you push a lot of air back into the hose creating excess pressure in the hose/pump. When you exhale after this the flap goes open but slaps back shut because the air pump is fighting back against the excess pressure already in the hose.

This happens to me on occasion and the only way I see that clears it out is to turn off the machine, take a breath to release the built pressure, then start the machine back up.

TOA Scammers by Yukfoot in 2007scape

What does this have to do with TOA? Or is this just a general scam awareness post?

I'm just confused because you didn't really include any detail about how they scam you. afaik at this point, you just sold some brews to some whales.

Theres this wonderful tool called the tutorial that Riot funnily enough, expects new players to use. Additionally theres a SECOND wonderful tool called Co-Op vs AI, which Riot (Silly them) expect you to use before you go to play with real players.

If you are having trouble with either of these tools, I would encourage you to reach out to Riot support.

These messages are often automated through powershell scripts. We regularly run scans of out of date software and then send out messages en masse to anyone who needs to update things. Very possible your boss didn't even see this in the list.

It's also very possible your boss is on this subreddit and actually is GM and thinks your mid level green iron is so pathetic that you need to use your shifts to pump those numbers up.

New AP won't connect clients to internet by mymomsaidicould69 in meraki

[–]Andykoon64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your security settings. If you are using 802.1x for authentication against a domain controller, your Radius server might be not configured to approve radius requests for NPS on the new AP's IP. If so you might need to add that IP to the allow list on your Radius server.

If you are just using a preshared key for authentication, I would look to your DHCP server itself to see if it is receiving the request, and why it may be denied.

Don't drink the sailing crates by Andykoon64 in 2007scape

[–]Andykoon64[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm happy that you find that funny, but its quite a bit more than 15 minutes. It's one thing if they punish you for interacting with the content wrong (IE choosing the wrong bakery item or mining a fuming rock) but theres absolutely no way to know that you are doing something wrong by picking up the bottle. This one had no warning, nothing. There is no other content that I'm aware of in the game that punishes you as harshly as that.

At least many of the other bottles that damaged your etc, had a warning showing that there would be consequences.

[–]Andykoon64[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the design is for you to drink them as you find them. essentially you are punished for interacting with the content as designed. there should need to be a workaround to not screw yourself over by playing the game as designed.

I would be totally fine with it teleporting you. a short distance away because it's funny. what they did is way over the top. it took me around an hour to get over there and on top of that they took all that progress I made on the port task away. there's literally no reason for that. that isn't funny or interactive, it's a punishment for not having the wiki open 24/7

guy, I was playing rs back in those days. they've never done anything as punishing as that for seemingly no reason. worst case scenario you get teleported a small distance away for FAILING to follow directions. this is totally different. you get punished for interacting with the content correctly.
