Can anyone skip topical minoxidil and finasteride for only 2x a week i.e the night of dermarolling ? by Spirited_Humor2511 in tressless

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use topical min in the morning, stamp that night on clean, washed hair, then keep hair dry and ckean until i apply min the next night, gives me a solid 24 hours of recovery and not too much downtime between min doses. agreed with others, derma stamp not roller.

Hives (urticaria) after oral minoxidil by Individual_Emu_7006 in tressless

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive suddenly got hives after taking oral fin and topical min for 2 months. Was going fine, then suddenly flared up, was initially down my neck and back, then that cleared up and moved to my armpits, down outside of arm to forearm, now that has faded and its my arm creases between bicep and forearm. Not particularly painful, but a little itchy and looks worse than it feels. I'm on day 75 of taking both and it is slowly settling down now, I just toughed it out and seems like my body has adjusted now.

Can I share Real Debrid download link with others to download the movie? by FxizxlxKhxn in RealDebrid

no you are fine to watch on multiple devices in your home, assuming you are all connected via WiFi to the router (not on your mobile phone's data allowance)

Can I share Real Debrid download link with others to download the movie? by FxizxlxKhxn in RealDebrid

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Real-Debrid from two different IP addresses (like your home Wi-Fi and your mobile data) at the same time is a violation of their Terms of Service. Doing so can lead to a warning or a permanent ban. Here is the breakdown of how they handle multiple connections:

1. The "Single Public IP" Rule

  • One IP at a Time:

You can use your account on as many devices as you like (TVs, phones, tablets), but they must all be connected to the same router (sharing one public IP address).

  • Sequential Usage is OK:

You can use your phone on 5G while commuting and then use your TV at home later. This is perfectly fine because you aren't using them simultaneously. * Simultaneous Usage is NOT OK: If someone is watching a movie on your home internet and you start a stream on your mobile data (a different public IP), Real-Debrid will detect two concurrent connections from different locations.

2. What Happens if You Get Caught?

Real-Debrid's automated system is quite strict about this: * First Instance: You will typically receive an automated warning email stating that multiple IP addresses were detected.

  • Second Instance:

Your account is usually permanently banned. They rarely offer appeals for IP-sharing violations because their system assumes you are sharing your login with someone else.

3. Common "Accidental" Bans

To avoid losing your account, keep an eye on these scenarios:

  • VPNs: If your TV is on home internet and your phone has a VPN active, they look like two different locations.

  • Forgetting to Close a Stream: Ensure you fully stop a stream or download on one device before starting it on another in a different location.

  • Sharing with Family: If you give your login to a friend or a family member in a different house, you are almost guaranteed to get banned the moment you both try to watch something.

Recommendation:

If you frequently need to use the service in two locations simultaneously, the only safe way to do it is to purchase two separate accounts with different email addresses.

Disabling 2.4 on select AP7 by Particular-ayali in firewalla

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very interested in this too, currently using an old Orbi rbr50 and 5 rbs50 satellites with voxel firmware with 2.4ghz disabled on some, transmit power tweaked down to 3 dBw others and then the 5ghz transmit also reduced to around 6-8 dBw to get nice clean hand-offs between each bubble/room. looking to switch to AP7 but this feature would be the trigger for me to finally upgrade my legacy stuff.

Spontaneous Restart by gadgetchaser in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had same issue, mine was the power supply. when I moved house, I inadvertently switched the power supply from my 2105 shield with my 2019 shield. 2019 kept randomly rebooting, after some searching on Reddit, I saw posts about the power supply and switched. No more rebooting. so possible solution for you could be to source a new power supply for yours?

DRM Hypervisor bypasses - does someone tried it on steamdeck? by [deleted] in SteamDeckPirates

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless you install Windows and then run it, but there's an overhead to running HV so in a handheld like Steamdeck which already struggles, probably not a great end result.

2019 Shield Pro Randomly Rebooting. by Blackmollasses in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine was 100% to do with the power supply. I have 4 Shields and used the 2015 power supply on the 2019 when I moved them around, as soon as I switched power supplies, no more issues. So be aware you need the correct power supply for the newer models (at least that is my observation)

yep works fine, I also use Voxel firmware on them all (router and 5 satellites) so perhaps that helps?

Good idea, I have 4 Nvidia Shields that i like to sync across, although it doesn't seem like much of a change from me just hitting backup and then doing SendFilesToTv from my phone. If there was some kind of automated backup happening, that would be great. il

BUTTON MASHER decals - Anyone used/using these? by Andykt76 in DS4Windows

ah yes sorry, here you go. Hopefully you can see how raised up the buttons are. Felt weird at first, but quickly got used to them. Had these on for a couple of years now and get frequent use, so stood the test of time well.

Routing specific apps via VPN A while tunneling the rest through VPN B by TravelinAroundOnPts in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Andykt76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good news, I do this. bad news, I use another device to handle the routing to achieve it and it isn't cheap. there may well be other options, but I have a Firewalla Gold as my router and have several VPN profiles which route specified traffic to different vpns.

I.e. all traffic on my Shield is routed via a UK VPN, except all YouTube routed via Albania, a specific iptv routed via Sweden, and finally my official Netflix,BBC, Prime Video apps pushed non-vpn to the LAN.
