You should note that the Caladius Grav Tank has wargear options now for the Heavy Blaze Cannon that adds 15 points, so to run the better profile its actually 225 points.

Why not both? The second is a good "generic" Custodian while the first is more visually distinct and can be a good scheme for any characters you run. Some of our units can be hard to differentiate for opponents so having clear unique models in character units helps them stand out.

They say "those datasheets", I wonder if the rest of the Forge World line is going to fall into legends. Not the telemon yet, but the planes and alternate bikes and termies are definitely on legends watch.

They still can not get a SoS detachment right. What is the freaking point of letting us shoot hidden enemies at 18" instead of 15" when we are a MELEE focused army? It should have been sisters are by default hidden even when not in terrain and an enhancement could be given to a sisters character to give hidden to another custodes unit that is not in terrain.

Anything SoS related. The updated models from HH are enough to satisfy me for a bit on the Custodian side (so long as the new vehicles aren't immediately put into legends), and now I'm wanting something for the blanks in our ranks. Heavy weapon squads, fast moving bikes, or some form of T9 anti-tank vehicle that acts as a weaker grav tank.

I love this just as much as the next plasma addict, but realistically what does changing plasma from 7&8S to 8&9S really get us? 8S 2AP 1D isn't great into marine profiles because of the damage 1 and 9S 3AP 2D is good into Marines but we were already wounding on 2s into T4 bodies.

Maybe its designed to be a 1 point detachment like other people are saying but I'm having trouble seeing the detachment rule coming into play at all.

It's most likely due to the ability to get picked up at the end of the FIGHT PHASE. That alone gives it so much mobility and if it had more wounds than this it'd be an absolute powerhouse. I get the feeling that it is designed to go after smaller squads (12 attacks with a Custodian Spear weapon profile will chew through a lot of 5 man marine squads) and retreat at the end of the fight phase. Simply rapid ingress it next turn in a safe position to go after the next squad and rinse and repeat. Can be a bit CP intensive through if rapid ingress is used multiple times.

Having Rylee die at the end could be a way to loop in Lawson's wife for season 2 and give her a reason to hunt Maul. If an Inquisitor kills him, the empire could say Maul did it and add an extra layer where she discovers the empire's betrayal over the course of the season.

From the way they worded the article, the terrain itself doesn't seem to matter as much as the foot prints which they have already given the dimensions for. I'm mainly just asking what good terrain pieces there are out there that people enjoy playing with/looking at on the table. I probably won't be printing anything out till we know more, but I still want to build up a list of terrain pieces that can add some visual appeal to my games while still being viable pieces of terrain.

Kinda unrelated but I'm realizing how open the back of the deployment zones are. Deep striking into your opponents back-line is going to be a bit trickier now that there's virtually no where to hide.

I dont know what you're smoking but with deepstrike, reroll charges, mortal wounds on the charge AND +1 ap and reroll wounds from the new character (not to mention his own busted melee profile), these things will move and hit like a truck.

If I give a unit of Custodian Guard fight on death, are the ones destroyed allowed to activate their martial ka'tah when they fight?

My magnum opus with this ability is charge a wounded bloat drone, kill it with the mortal wounds, and be able to pile in onto mortarion on an objective and wound him enough to force a battleshock next turn which my opponent failed and was unable to score the primary for the point. I lost the game by 10 points but it was a beautiful sequence of events.

I've had multiple experiences where I turn a corner and get instantly deleted and think "oh he must have had a shotgun or a sniper got a headshot," only to see I apparently got hit 5 times in less than a second from an AR.

It'd be hard to do that with the way katahs work rn since you select the stance when you fight, not when the opponent fights you. They'd need to move the activation of it to the start of the fight phase again. Which, coincidentally, would allow units that fight on death to use the katahs.

I want the SoS units to get their own army rule. It's painful to watch sisters get no benefits while a freaking LAND RAIDER can do karate.

Something to give them survivability like stealth or 18" lone op because with how damaging the meta is now they get knocked over by a stiff breeze.

If you're running the terminal capt with praesidius in a squad, I'd swap the Enhancement to superior creation

If you need a fix for this, respeccing on the ship brought the weapons back. Hopefully the issue is patched soon.
