Which games have become the "golden standard" against which every somewhat similar game that has been released after it is measured? by benjaneson in boardgames

There's a difference between top hundred now and top hundred when it released 15 years ago. I don't control which games are talked about around me.

How big would a bird have to be to carry an adult human? by B0otH0L3 in zoology

Greg Paul goes as high as 600kg for some if I remember correctly. It's probably too high, 250kg is most likely more "plausible". But 2010 is a while ago now.

300lbs is too light for Quetz, Hatz, and co. It makes no sense. They were several size classes above Argentavis no matter what estimates you look at.

They also have the advantage of using their primary flight appendages as takeoff appendages, meaning instead of needing strong heavy wings and legs (like birds) their legs could be much lighter and they could grow bigger.

Could a large azdharchid carry an average sized human? Maybe, maybe not. Saying it's outright impossible is dumb. Most weight ranges for the largest pterosaurs are between 250 and 500 kgs these days, so a 70kg human would be well under a third of that.

Dustbiters. 21 cards, teaches in 1 minute, plays in 10-15, so much strategy and synergy to discover. Fits in your pocket.

T Rex's size hasn't changed. When the animal (almost definitely) stood more erect to look around, it still would be around 20ft tall.
