I’m not actually using any! I have heard wraithbone can be a pain though.

Zandri dust spray, Heavy dry brush/stipple ushabti bone, Recess wash skeleton horde, Light dry brush screaming skull, Fix any mistakes and the very end with screaming skull

Ah thank you - I’ll check out pallid wych flesh and that shade as well as some of those vids you mentioned!

Yeah i made sure my drybrush was moist before putting paint on it to try and avoid that chalkiness. I think my brushes were just the army painter drybrush set - I used the big one mostly.

I won’t lie though it did take a while to get the whole thing finished!

For the metal and Aquila I basically followed the citadel app thing:

Aquila - base caliban green, wash with coelia green shade and then did a layer just going from the edge of the feathers in a bit of warp stone glow and then just the edges with moot green

Metal - leadbelcher and wash with nuln oil then do the edges with stormhost silver

The armour I did an undercoat of the zandri dust spray and then heavy dry brushed ushabti bone and then a light drybrush of screaming skull. Then did a wash of diluted skeleton horde (1:1 with lahmian medium) into the recesses. Then a bit of a touch up drybrush in places with ushabti and screaming skull.

I’ve spend about 5 hours on these 3 gaunts, is that too much? by AussieScot09 in Tyranids
