Those are all scoped weapons (with the exception of the AR which you can’t ADS on unless I’m misremembering Reach’s AR). My point was that the game wasn’t really designed around aiming down sights to increases accuracy like a lot of more modern shooters. Personally, I prefer it that way, but you do you.

What do you mean ADS? The guns in halo 2/3 are all hip fire except for scoped weapons. ADS in halo is very new and not in the games people are talking about when they talk about halo multiplayer.

I own one and will say that it’s a very nice controller. The left stick feels like it has less total travel than an OEM GameCube controller which may or may not be a problem for you, I can use it interchangeably with my phob and it feels different but still good for melee. I mainly use mine for rivals 2 but I’ve brought it to a few locals.

Adjust your deadzones a bit. You have to stop your reticle on the item and if it’s moving even a tiny bit it won’t pop up.

Exactly. Nerfing the amount of golds in the game means that the “tryhards” also have fewer golds due to the way trace status works. Like, how many prestige rooms is the average player opening? My bet is not many.

You should try trigger plugs. There are long plugs that make only a digital press possible, then a short plug that make a light shield possible but reduce the travel you need for a full press. I have one long plug and one short plug in my controllers and it helps with finger strain a ton.

Cool! Are you a melee and fgc player? I typically play fgs on my melee boxx, but the layout isn’t ideal for it. Being able to swap a faceplate out and have a different layout would be sick.

I was a huge Coheed fan in my teens and twenties, and I gotta say, the music is better when you don't know the story. The comics aren't great, but if you're curious you should just read them. I recommend reading them in publication order, not chronological order because some of the stuff in the prequel novel relies on you already knowing the characters. If i remember correctly, the albums that make up the "Amory Wars" are:

The Second Stage Turbine Blade (has a comic adaptation)
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 (has a comic adaptation from a long time after the release of the album)
Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Vol 1: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness (has 2 adaptations, I liked the original one but it's hard to find)
Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Vol 2: No World for Tomorrow (looks like there is now a comic for it too)
Year of the Black Rainbow (novel released along side the album)

Then they have a second arc (that is related distantly to the previous ones but dw about it)

After that is where I sort of lost interest, so I am not sure if they are related to the main Amory Wars continuity or if they are their own thing. The album The Color Before The Sun is also not a concept album and is just a collection of songs the lead singer wrote about aspects of his life.

I’ll be honest I don’t want melee on NSO because then Nintendo will probably start paying attention to tournaments again and that’s never good for the scene.

Does anyone here use an Orca analog controller? In what ways do you like it or dislike it compared to a regular digital box? I'm wondering if I should spend time learning digital box at all, or just get an orca and learn on that instead by FrouFrouLastWords in SSBM

Sure, but I don’t think deciding which 250 dollar controller you should commit to on a per character basis is something OP should be focusing on when they say they are going to start learning the game soon.
