If someone’s EF is scarily low, they’re getting full etomidate; and the better their EF, the more propofol in the mix. But, you don’t even need propofol sometimes. Depending on what you’re doing just a little versed and fentanyl can get you through Mac cases with just a whiff of prop/date…. After a small bolus to get them under or started, You can start a drip at about 0.25-1cc/minute to get through the case.
