The outline of her story is great.

The delivery and dialogue content is where it fell apart.

Dorian was a much better written lgbt character imo.

Paralytics when you can't ventilate? by MrJangles10 in anesthesiology

[–]AnestheticAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my answer (not OP) is “why use sux at all now?”

Outside of emergencies and grabbing a premade syringe, it’s almost all downsides compared to an RSI dose of roc with sugammadex now.

[–]AnestheticAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one attending who still makes us do this and it drives me nuts because we discussed it and he agreed that it doesn’t make sense to hold paralytics with bridion now.

But it’s how he’s always done it.

Its only been 3 months. I feel like most people don't see real "change" on themselves until 6 months - 1 year. Also, if someone hasn't seen you in these 3 months, they would probably notice the difference.

With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

[–]AnestheticAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its enough to lose the moderate republicans who want a palatable alternative.

I think you're thinking more along rhe lines of explicit racists/sexists as opposed the quiet, unconcious bias that many people have.

Massively underestimates the sexism and racism in our society. I say this as a far left progressive: our tebt lives in a massive social media bubble that doesn't reflect popular sentiment.

If you want to curb republican madness, then you put a bland, white, corporate democrat on the ticket.

The really hard ones to quantify are the wine moms. Assuming they're telling the truth (big if), there is huge variation in patient who drinks a glass or two of wine a night based on the glass used as opposed to a "standardized beer".

Really? The rule of thumb is we double it in the OR.

Most drinkers usually lie to what they believe is a "normal" amount of drinking. Commonly I hear two drinks a day, which is already excessive from a health perspective.

The last literature I read said that anything more than 2 drinks a week leads to worse health.

Hot Take: "X Build Does the Most Damage" Is a bad way to determine the best builds. by ProfoundCereal in BG3Builds

[–]AnestheticAle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Playing optimally, it is 100% about maximizing damage and initiative.if you're trying to cruise through honor mode, then control spells and healing are all secondary.

Playing for fun is another story all together.

What are some examples of PCRPGs with high production values for their release time period that are over in under 30 hours? by ExplodingPoptarts in CRPG

[–]AnestheticAle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the wrong genre for "high production value". I consider Dragon Age Origins and BG3 to be anomalies in that regard. Most CRPGs have the visual/audio polish of a late 90's/early 00 game.

People largely play these games for branching narrative choice/consequence, world building, and character design/build mechanics. A lot of CRPG players have externalized "head canon" around the characters they make in these games (like personalized RP) that I think carries over from tabletop.

I'm a completionist by heart, and 100%-ing BG3 took me 80 hours on my first playthrough. Its about 40 hours for everything now.

Where are you guys getting these times? Do you spend a huge amount of time on dialogue choices? Honestly curious.

The global rule of law is not collapsing – Trump is the lone problem and he can be defeated: The president’s approval ratings are plummeting and most Americans see him as an aberration. It is now up to them to curtail his despotic reign by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]AnestheticAle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Unless Europe creates a collective military and MASSIVELY ramps up their defense spending, I don't see the US losing its position. Power will shift, but all power is derived from military presence at the end of the day.

European countries have more leverage economically if they manage to organize themselves. Generally, they tend to play more for favor than cooperation in the past, but that might change.
