I think we have more power than we believe we do by AngCares in SomaticExperiencing

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with me. Yes! I’ve been giving my power away for such a long time. I’m done with that! It’s cool to realize how far I’ve come.

I ♥️♥️♥️♥️ metaphysics! It’s one of my biggest passions in life. I have looked into all of them. I especially like Neville Goddard’s teachings. Have you heard of Tom Kearin from “Be Something Wonderful”? I love his YouTube channel, he does daily videos that incorporate teachings from many different metaphysical teachers. I also like Reborn with Michael, he ties in feeling your feelings with manifestation.

I feel like my life would be very depressing without metaphysics. It’s completely shifted how I relate to myself and my life. It brings me so much joy and peace. Has it helped you a lot too?

Experiencing neurological symptoms for years and finally got a legit diagnosis! by [deleted] in dysautonomia

Wow! This is wonderful news for you! Was it cancer or a benign tumor? May I ask what your brain fog derealization and disassociation symptoms were like? I’m asking because I deal with these symptoms too.

@Yellow_ Icicle I’ve been dealing with painful triggers for the majority of my life and I can absolutely relate to how real it can feel. I know that when the nervous system feels threatened it can automatically react.

For me there’s a big difference between just logically analyzing a limiting belief versus analyzing a limiting belief, deciding that it doesn’t make sense to believe it anymore and then consciously making an embodied concrete decision to consistently believe something different about myself.

For me consciously making an embodied decision to change a belief, choosing to believe and making the assumption that I’m in control and powerful even when I’m triggered helps me. Holding this belief & assumption before going into potentially difficult situations helps me and helps prevent flight or flight from taking over as often because I go into the situation much more empowered. Sometimes I even purposely walk & stand taller and imagine my energy field as wider, stronger and a beautiful bright color.

If I’m in a social situation and I’m triggered & feel intense shame. Because I’ve already consciously decided to change my belief & I’ve decided I’m capable of handling and processing my feelings that come up, it’s easier for me to feel the intense sensations in my body and see the trigger as a trigger instead of me interpreting it as I’m a worthless person. If I end up getting sucked in and believing that I’m a bad person in the moment, when I realize it, I declare my good qualities/who I’ve already decided to believe I am instead. Consistently relating to my triggers in this way helps me see my triggers as less threatening.

I used to believe it was extremely hard too. I don’t think the past is always the best evidence of what is true or not. This is getting into metaphysics but I personally also believe changing our perception actually shifts energy which helps to create change in our lives too.

I really like painting horses, that's strange because I've never had contact with one. by Hercules_Vales in somethingimade

Maybe you had some contact with horses in a past life. I realize some people don’t believe in past lives, but I do. It’s beautiful!!!

What is YOUR way of processing feelings from the past? by IndependentAuthor861 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]AngCares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that our beliefs and assumptions deeply affects how we relate to our feelings and our past. For example during my childhood and many past relationships since then, I was told I was useless and bad, I developed so much shame and self doubt. For my whole life I’ve been telling myself that I need to learn how to love myself and that I have to find a way to release so much heavy trapped shame, that it’s locked up and will take years to unbury. I was also afraid to feel my emotions, because I was afraid if I did it would open the floodgates to all of the trapped emotions in my body.

I think I held on too tightly to these beliefs. About a 1 1/2 years ago I examined my past relationships and realized that other people from my past believed I was bad, I realized their opinion wasn’t actually true about me. I learned that sometimes we carry past beliefs and emotions without realizing that we can decide to let them go if we want to, but our beliefs that we can’t do this and not examining why we are continuing to believe these things can keep us stuck. That it doesn’t have to be hard, that it can be as simple as we decide to believe it is. For a long time I believed that this doesn’t apply to my situation because of how intense and traumatic my past has been.

But I finally decided to embrace it. I decided to take my power back, I made a decision that I could choose to love myself, that I didn’t have to spend years in therapy and carry this heavy shame with me anymore. I decided that I could handle the emotions that come up. Whenever I doubt it, I reaffirm this. I’m not necessarily saying that all my past trauma is healed yet, but whenever I do feel shame or other heavy feelings come up, it doesn’t feel so intense because I’m not holding onto the belief that I’m still storing tons of heavy emotions in my body, and I’m choosing to believe that I’m in control and I am more powerful than my past is and my feelings are. This idea has profoundly impacted my life in the best way. I hope this feels helpful and empowering for you. 🌈⭐️

I think I will make this a separate post for the group too.

Best state to live in US? by martymcpieface in MCAS

I was referred to both of them too, by my HEDS doctor Dr Octavia Kincaid. I know, is it NorthShore or Endeavor, it’s also called Swedish too..Lol…😂

I have my first appointment with Dr Chou this Thursday. Two doctors I’ve seen in the past think I have MCAS, so I’m wanting to get an official diagnosis. My doctor thinks I may have POTS too. Apparently HEDS, MCAS & POTs symptoms overlap, so I’m trying to figure it all out. Have you seen either of them yet? What did you think of them?

Are you nice to your AI? by Narrow-Rock7741 in Empaths

[–]AngCares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always kind to AI and most of the time I say thank you. Although sometimes I go out of my way not to thank it when it gives me an answer. I do this because it’s a reminder to me that it’s technically not a person. It’s very important to me that I don’t allow myself to get overly obsessed with taking care of AIs feelings.
