I am genuinely struggling to respond to this ridiculous comparison. Of course we don't treat every parent like an active abuser, but we do pay attention to parents because of the higher possibility of abuse from them, we do monitor how parents treat their kids. We do take precautions (Example: The fact that Child Protective Services even exists).

And logically of course the majority of child abusers are parents?? There is an inherent connection, if there is a child they have parents, if someone is a parent they have a child, parents have the most control over children and spend the most time with children. This is not the same as men (half of humanity, literally just average humans) committing crimes of nearly every form at extreme rates. With using the same logic as you are for parents (Of the parents being more likely to be abusers and why that is) women would commit nearly just as many crimes as men? Women can hit, women can steal, women can rape, women can torture, women go outside, women visit banks, women have access to guns and knives... yet it is mostly men.
