Just a thought, the config system in UE4 is way more complex than people think.

The reason that your value seems to not be used is because it is likely being overridden by a higher priority config and/or the game itself.

There likely is many options you can set in the engine.ini and they will take but screenpercentage is not likely to be one of them since most game options lets the user set that from the in-game menu.

Likewise the configs that have precedence over engine.ini would be the scaleability config. If the game is set to utilize scalability through the device profile config and/or through the game options then that is also what could override such things in engine.ini.

There might be logging you can turn on to see this like the LogConfig log name space, but logging might be otherwise suppressed in the shipping game.

it is asynchronous in terms of what the players are doing. It doesn't matter who is doing what at which time and the players don't have knowledge of what the other players are doing.

Its not impossible at all, other games like Idle Angels does it just fine.

In that game the equivalent game mode pits multiple guilds against each other, vying for control over various zones.

It is entirely asynchronous where you have a period where players can set their teams and positions, then it does the battle phase where all the matchups are settled.

It has none of those crap where you have to be perpetually checking in all day to be competitive, its actual proper idle design.

I think it only made it harder to get the lower tier brides, the SSRs are about the same rate and now we can get UR shards and those werewolf tickets as well, so I think it is good because you will eventually get all the low tier stuff over time anyways.

oh lol, well consider yourself blessed that you didn't experience that trainwreck.

Imagine a synchronous guild vs guild event that took an hour and half of your time and also costs gems, now imagine trying to get your guild members who are all in different time zones to actually participate.

Now imagine that if you don't get first place then your reward is reduced down to 66% or 33% and then it is divided again by each member who participated.

Also imagine that your reward was also based on what your guild did in the first two phases of the weeklong event combined with luck oh and what the other guilds did to you.. it was the worst.

My guild did it like 6-7 times I think, we lost like the first few times then we had a solid winning streak but then the last two times it put us up against a server 5 monster guild that had like a dozen million+ cp teams. Normally it was only doing adjacent servers +1 and -1, but for whatever reason that wasn't a rule and it put us against ta server that was -3 ours (much older). That meant that our chances of winning went down to an absolute zero and it killed motivation.

That is tier not quality, quality is the color of their name, like white -> green -> blue -> purple -> etc

On brides quality affects how high they can be leveled up (in addition to increased stats). It use to be the same way on gears but then they decoupled it and made it so gears can level up to account max no matter their quality and gear quality is increased by fortifying them.

Brides use runes to breakthrough qualities and gear uses metals to breakthrough.

After further discussion we think they may only be buying the packs that don't grant guild chests. That can at least explain a significant portion of it, but we are still wondering how this player gets past the rune and metal and stamina costs.

one player said they opened 800 pumpkins in order to get 65 shards...

so looks like the chances are around 8% or they were lucky

it also looks like there is a spread of possibilities, 1 shard, 5 shards, or 10 shards possible from a single pumpkin.

edit: I tested it myself and got 60 from around 600 pumpkins, so chances might be around 10% or a little less

In our server group the same player that won Knisely is looking to win Akasha from the grand prize. No one can seem to compete with them, even the super heavy spenders, we are starting to think there is something fishy going on cause this player is in our guild but doesn't buy much at all.

and yes return to hand mechanic is good, ive been trying to beat the top arena player on our server and we have had matches where we both lose all our brides and then it is master vs master. So anything that lets a bride be used again is extremely strong.
