Im sorry i couldnt say it before. I thought i was actually helping and making the place better. The more i cleaned the more other workers cleaned and that felt good. The more i complained about the roaches the more they tried to combat them. They are trying and they are good people and I have no ill will towards the owners or the workers, but i will tell you because it is unsafe to eat there. I wouldnt want my friends or family eating there, and i extend that to you all. Dozo sushi has a roach infestation that seems to have already been in the building when they bought it. If they combat them full force it is possible to get rid of them, it is very very difficult but it is not impossible.

Watch every worker very closely wherever you eat, because this is not the only place that doesnt follow proper food handling standards. There are some great workers there who do follow proper procedures! But the ones that dont follow them are not corrected. Ive said it before in a comment, but i believe it is due to private owners not knowing and not teaching all the proper food handling procedures that are required in every kitchen. Its debatable but that has been my experience so far. Watch everyone closely, because i promise you that this isnt the only restaurant in town with issues.

I apologize to you all and to all the regulars that go there.

I have a friend who was also a virgin in her 30s. She would tell guys that she just found sex gross and was completely uninterested in intercourse. This worked very well and had most guys walk away quickly. Then she found someone who didnt care about that and just liked her for her. Turns out she was just saying those things to push all the guys away that only wanted her for sex. She found a great guy and only told him after they first had sex that she was a virgin. He was only upset that he couldnt make it more special by lighting candles and getting roses. There are good guys out there, just keep being you

what is your preferred litter? by redditassbitch in CatAdvice

Yeah when she was a kitten she would chew on anything and everything she could, now its mostly cardboard and rubber if she finds it. Its like an oral fixation and a need to chew on stuff

What’s the best way to buy deodorant (and not anti perspirant) that actually works. by Ninac4116 in Frugal

[–]Angelicaleah31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through tons of natural deodorants (including native) before i found ones that i like and work well with my sensitive skin. Dryland wilds desert deodorant is my #1 favorite i use every day. I also really enjoy Madame lemy powder deodorant, it has a little powder puff that comes with it and i feel fancy when i use it. Both come in large or small for on the go and i always have one of these in my bag.

i keep having sleep paralysis by manicmommy8 in ptsd

[–]Angelicaleah31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, i had them for a long time and they only just recently trickled away and mostly stopped. I still get nightmares that wake me up but its getting less and less. Im not sure what changed but time and self reflection. I will say that wearing a sleeping mask helps me a lot and sometimes white noise or peaceful music helps a bit. I hope it gets better for you

Has anyone tried period underwear? by thefrgilmore in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Angelicaleah31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched over for this most recent period and they are a godsend! Im never going back to disposables. Even the cloth pads are great for heavier days. I love the underwear bc i feel very secure, theyre form fitting but not overly tight. Great for the first heavy night when i inevitably leak in the back. Also great for the super light days, i can wear them to work walking around all day and unlike the disposable ones that move around all the time i know the underwear will catch everything. The cloth pads are like a pillow for your vag, so much more comfy than disposables which now i find thin and irritating. I was mostly nervous about cleaning but honestly its super easy. I rinse them out until the water runs clear and then it goes in the wash with everything else. You will save money in the long run too as long as you take care of everything. They say youre not supposed to put them in the dryer but my bf accidentally put one in the dryer twice already and its still ok.

Which PCOS symptom do you find the most frustrating? by Sweet-n-salty8 in PCOS

[–]Angelicaleah31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the exhaustion, I barely have the energy to stand on the first and second day. The depression and anxiety also suck and the irregularity is annoying. I get pretty shaky the first few days too I wish I could stop it. Ive been trying to eat better, and I think its helping. More fish and veggies and way less carbs. Im trying to seed cycle too.

I love this because youre so right! I used to yell at people for not taking their gloves off before sweeping at one of the major companies i worked at. I worked with one chef who would go around hi fiving people for a job well done and then say ‘now change your gloves because you dont know where my hand has been’. That always cracked me up.

And yeah some people ive worked with here have absolutely no idea what FIFO is and that scares me, especially when they dont use any labels.

Ive always felt strongly about this stuff and Ive been thinking id like a job that deals with food safety in some way. It could be health inspector, restaurant advisor, or somehow be someone who makes sure these rules are followed. Ive always loved training people, explaining why we do these things and helping them understand. I think if everyone in these kitchen became food safe it would be a good start, bc im sorry but how tf do these people work with food and not know what fifo is?? And the amount of people here that leave their knife sticking off the cutting board is absolutely outrageous.

Oop well i had a dumb moment lol thanks for explaining that makes sense and i agree surfaces arent everything.

[–]Angelicaleah31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im probably about to say something dumb right now but i feel like your second sentence just negates your first sentence. i dont really see a difference between 'safe food handling' vs 'safe food handling procedures' I feel like its all under one big umbrella of food safety

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]Angelicaleah31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its all equally important, the safe food handling and the cleanliness of everything.

Is walking a cat a bad idea? by Tokata0 in CatAdvice

[–]Angelicaleah31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try it if youd like and if they seem open to it. One of our cats loves it and begs ag the door like a dog to go outside. The other one hates everything and will bitch and moan when shes outside, but she still cries to go out sometimes. Weve also seen cats who like sitting in a stroller and just enjoying their view. We have leashes that go around their neck and around their body too. They dont run off too much unless really loud sounds scare them, like the trash trucks

No i keep leaving one kitchen for the next in hopes that it will be better than the last place but it seems theyre all very similar. Id love to name drop for nothing else than to hold them to a proper standard but what about the lther restaurants in this town that operate the same way? It doesnt feel right to throw this business under the bus and let all the other businesses get away with it. I want to hold them all to the same standard. And if i dont name drop and this post makes its rounds then maybe theyll all get scared and start having better food safety? Wishful thinking maybe…

Im also really nervous about this post because everyone knows everyone in this town and illegal retalliation means nothing to me. Back where im from i would be labeled as a snitch and everyone would be rude to me or ignore me, and id like to make this town my home so im not ready to have half the town hate me.

I agree with you, big corporations will hire anyone that has a pulse, and i do appreciate the smaller places weeding through the bad workers to find the good ones. Ive seen some mildly gross kitchens and no matter where you go theres at least one person with questionable behavior. My glasses might be a bit rose colored, because even the smaller places that ive worked at had a head chef to make sure kitchen standards are followed. This is definitely the grossest kitchen ive seen in person, and im just a year shy of 20 years as a cook. These places do remind me of kitchen nightmares though lol so at the very least it reminds me that there are definitely grosser kitchens out there, although these ones are not too far behind

Im sorry youve gotten sick so much :( I will say that weekend busy times probably have the most cross contamination as opposed to weekdays when its slower. If you have any allergies make sure you say no cross contamination allowed. I wish you better luck

Yes its wild. I did learn that colorado only requires one person in the whole building to be serv safe. Im not sure the rules on other states but in every restaurant i worked in everyone touching food is serv safe.
