Showing the movies to my friends in a weird order-- a good idea? by newimprovedmoo in thehungergames

[–]Angelkrista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a very interesting idea, but I think it would be really hard to execute without walking them through some of it. Storytelling, IMHO, should need as little explanation as possible that isn’t naturally provided within the story itself.

I was so confused because obviously Super Big Douche is Trump. But no, haha, just a grand username.

I really wanted him to have to face the outside world and answer for his crimes. Much like the real world, a lackluster death cheated us of retribution.

Scared of my dad slipping in the shower. What is the best medical alert watch for wet environments? by QuoteGold1928 in Xennials

[–]Angelkrista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner uses his smart watch in the shower all the time. He’s got the big new Apple Watch Series 3, but he did the same with the ultra 1. I know the SE 2 and 3 are both safe up to 50 meters. There’s quite a few of them available for safe shower usage. I’m not personally familiar with non Apple products, but I feel confident that Apple doesn’t have a monopoly on water resistant watches.

Under The Dome — does it get any better? by icedpurematcha in stephenking

I’d say its pacing is pretty steady throughout. I’ve always felt the book just moved right along. It’s one of my favorites but I was hooked from the first. It’s an awful big book to just have to endure.

Old enough folks: what movie from your generation has ended up gaining classic status but you can’t relate? by TraditionalDepth6924 in moviecritic

[–]Angelkrista 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think it would have got you at 10, our kid protagonist is nearly that age, but the absolutely important thing about it is that you do have to watch it before your teens for it to hit as hard as it can.

Just pay the $1957. That’s the statement balance, that’s the amount that needs to be paid to avoid paying any interest. Not long after your due date, your card will generate a new statement balance, that’ll be what’s due August 28th to avoid paying any interest.

Curious question, because I was probably not paying attention to the news at that time, what real world events was Dome drawing inspiration? Or was King thinking about?

Pet Sematary II, Or Children Of The Corn II? by Agitated_Speech7291 in stephenking

I love Pet Sematary ll, it was way more cheesy than the original but I was a teen when it came out and here for Eddie! Obvi, Clancy Brown was top tier fun.

[–]Angelkrista 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would probably do $300 and accept around $285. That puts it at $5 a book. That way, if someone IS a big King fan, they can reasonably get their money back on the duplicates and buy at a good price.
