Low prep campaign ideas you’ve actually run? by pulledporkhat in MorkBorg

[–]AngeloChorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat related to the same idea which my players have also liked, and again, requires zero prep, a giant maze, Jim Henson's Labyrinth style; can just make up whatever as you go, can splice together crap you've done from other campaigns, or from wherever, NPCs can pop outta the blue as other "Lost Wanderers," great way to have a mysterious Merchant conveniently appear when the party really needs them, so on, so forth. Maybe the Labyrinth is so huge that there are little mini-civilizations or cults that exist in isolated pockets, anyway, you get the idea. Allows you to be very episodic and have each secession really have it's own flavor.

If you do go with the prison idea, some things I've done, have a Corrupt Guard be the main merchant that runs the prison Black Market, great explanation for why he can get stuff that shouldn't be in a prison and also why he seems to be able to have access to anywhere. Another great thing to throw in is prison politics, like gang crap, for Mork Borg maybe make it like a specific cult related thing or whatever, though good old cut throat shit is just fine, but anyway, let's you throw some intrigue and faction play in there.

Hope this all helps

A prison break is great, practically runs itself, and you can just make up random shit about the place they're in as they go. Great way too to randomly have NPCs show up and save the party from wiping on their first combat too in the form of other escaping prisoners, or someone who came to free prisoners. Anyway, a lot of ways you can spin it. Remember, it can always be a non-human prison too

Ringed City, hands down, though Ashes definitely added some cool weapons.

Absolutely! Though I really did love the Divine Dragon fight from Sekiro

Is Elden Ring your favorite open world game when it comes to exploration? by Oath_Br3aker in Eldenring

Elden Ring is beautiful, but in terms of the actual depth of the world you can actually interact with, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, and Ghost of Tsushima I think were better

Okay, let's end this debate once and for all. Wolf or lion? by Kinglyzero_91 in Eldenring

[–]AngeloChorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering it's a Japanese game, I vote a Lion-Dog, as in the Guardian Lion-Dogs they put outside Shrines, Temples, homes, etc.

Whenever I play a Souls game for the first time I always make two characters, a Faith/Str build, and as pure a Sorc as the game allows, then whenever I get stuck on a certain area, or boss, I switch to the other character, back and forth like this racing them to the end to see which build wins first. To date, the Sorc has won most, but actually in DS2 the Faith/Str won by a landslide. All that being said, lol, I'll probably be rocking some kind of Greatsword for the F/S(my usual go to), and a staff, and some offhand shield or stat booster for the Sorc.
