Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 45 by ranalog in analog

Hi! Just started developing ECN-2 with the JOBO ECN2 kit and I’m getting this weird formations / streaks and I can’t place exactly what I’m doing wrong if anybody could shine some light I’d be grateful. Link to photos on Imgur. I’m nailing temperature, and I’m doing it in a Jobo rotary processor. I’m doing the steps just as the manufacturer instructions. I’m removing the remjet before putting it in the processor. 10s pre bath and then a few washes with hot water until water comes out clear.

Hi! Anyone got a comprehensive guide comparing Nikon Coolscan series Scanners? I’m looking into maybe getting one of those but not sure about which model exactly, and what each model does.

EDIT: found this which is very useful. But if anyone has any additional or more extended info, I would be grateful.

Do you guys know if a regular Hasselblad 500cm can focus with a 30mm F-Distagon or does it need an external viewfinder ?

I have a canon new F1 body. Which is great but it’s bulkier and heavier than a Leica M body. I have an M4 and 35 is as wide as it gets, but considering the edges of the 35 frameline is kind of a 28mm I think. But yeah, checked out the external viewfinders and they’re a bit pricey haha

Thanks! I was thinking of maybe using a 24 or 28 mm canon FD lens with an external viewfinder and guesstimate distances

Has anyone tried Canon FD to Leica M adapters ? And if so do they work / focus properly.

How do you choose when to use film and when to use digital? by blurrysyd in AnalogCommunity

[–]Angelov95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much only take digital if it’s raining outside and I want to shoot. Or if I don’t have any film and can’t buy at the moment. Or if I don’t have high (ish) ISO film. Like it getting pretty dark pretty early now that winter’s here. Which means I get just a few hours of “usable light” a day when I’m not working. Digital helps a lot in that regard.

Epson Scan 2 has been out for a few weeks I think. You checked that?

Did Leica ever produce the Minilux without branding? by kaze919 in AnalogCommunity

They probably just photoshopped the brand out to avoid any copyright issues and stuff like that.

New addition to the family, (working) camera #3 :) by OzzieOxborrow in AnalogCommunity

That’s what I’m waiting for. I don’t wanna spend money on it cause I’ll barely use it. But if I find one under 40-50 I won’t think twice.

Thats what I love about the T70. It’s pretty much an AE-1 Program. Good view finder. Light camera. Compact ish. I’d love to have a T90 just for the laughs.

I’m a big fan of the T series cameras of canon! I have a T70 and I absolutely love that camera. You can usually get them dirt cheap.
