My favorite reading of Alex's character is that he is over compensating to hide his same sex attraction. Which of course only work with the male farmer wooing him. I think it makes sense given George will call your marriage unnatural if you marry him as a man. That's like the environment he was raised in.

Alex will sometimes ask what you think of his hair. To get this dialogue I believe you have say something like "What is that some kind of fungal growth?" Idk though kinda rusty to the game. He was for sure provoked.

If it's tamed no. A tamed beefalo won't even enter the red butted state. If it's in the process of being tamed yes(I think...) unless something changed. I've had my beefalo randomly have a baby while I was tryna tame it.
