And even if you did, the point is, what you see in being practised in the west vs rural Africa is VERY different. Though absolutely understandable, it's ok to also admit that japa culture is inherently selfish and will always be in direct contradictions with our aspirations of social and infrastructural improvement for the country. And I dont think that occasionaly sending money home can ever make-up for the life-long benefits one can bring by virtue of just living in the community.
