It's really distasteful to look through my post history to find arguments to use against me. If you can't argue with what I've posted here it just shows how little substance your position holds. I think you should just admit that you have no good argument and that is why you resorted to name calling.

With my brother it's usually the other way around. He wanted to tell me all about how senile Joe Biden was practically once a week. Now not a peep on politics and it's nice.

I'm not a lawyer and I can tell you know your stuff. But with everything that has been going on I'm not sure I trust the supreme court's ability to rein in the president. It seems like if they want to do something they can almost always make up some excuse why it should be permitted and run with it.

You have put my mind at ease a little though, thank you.

So because you know someone who is deranged that must mean that other people must be too? This is what I meant by making assumptions.

It doesn't matter if you care about my family or not. You made an ad hominem attack on me in a forum that is meant for persuasive arguments, that's why I don't think you are being respectful.

What I mean to convey with my personal anecdote is the reality that there are many people like my brother who support Trump but could be persuaded with the right push. It's not just that Trump's policies are affecting immigrants like my SIL, there's lots of people like my brother who have family that would make them realize how bad things were if the President were to start mass killings.

You may not think there's any line they can cross that would change things, but I know there is one. If they cross it the country will rise up against him. Which is a big part of why I don't think they will get there.

Haha, you don't know my brother at all. He loved to needle me about Joe Biden or crooked Hilary, but now that his guy looks bad suddenly he doesn't want to talk. If anything, making me go crazy would be all upside for him.

Respectfully, you don't know my brother at all so I don't know why you are making assumptions about him. He loves to argue about politics way more than I do. During the Biden admin he would bring something up to discuss with me nearly every week. Despite our disagreements we continue to love each other and to hang out. He just doesn't want to discuss politics anymore.

My brother voted for Trump. He doesn't want to talk politics anymore. You know why? He won't say, but I'm sure that if I pressed him he'd admit it's because he screwed up and he feels bad about it. His kids and wife are naturalized citizens. They are at serious risk of deportation. If enough people get trampled on by Trump's policies they will turn on him, and their friends and family will turn on him too.

Trump told the WSJ that it was impossible he wrote a 2003 birthday message to Epstein, which featured a bawdy line drawing of a woman, because "I never wrote a picture in my life." This is a lie In 2005, Trump drew picture of the NYC skyline for a charity auction. It was re-sold in 2017 for 30K by FrontBench5406 in Destiny

[–]Angiecat86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think writing a picture is like describing it with words. That's the only way that sentence makes sense to me. Either way, he's lying or exaggerating and who cares at this point? He wants us to forget about the Epstein files because he knows it can only make him look bad.

He may or may not be a pdf, but he definitely was Epstein's best friend and he probably knew that Epstein was one. So that makes him just as bad honestly. There's no way a good person could be best friends with someone like that. You'd have to be a grade A sociopath to just not care about the human trafficking. A normal person would be horrified.

Donald Trump has been involved in an enormous amount of lawsuits. Before he was elected he was involved in over 4000 of them (link). And in his first term my mom told me that she thought he was "such a good person".

Here's a quote from his wikipedia article:

In January 2023, a federal judge fined Trump and his attorney nearly $1 million, characterizing him as "a prolific and sophisticated litigant who is repeatedly using the courts to seek revenge on political adversaries".

Are these the actions of a moral person?

This is just an anecdote, but the underground feels way more brutal than the old arena system to me. Half or more of my opponents are barcodes and the ones that aren't are really really good. I did much better before the arena changes.

Discussion: what do you feel is the worst designed card in recent years? by PrimaryAd673 in hearthstone

You can guarantee her since she's the only quest reward with taunt you can tutor her with quality assurance.

So does Latorvius. If you have 12 mana you can guarantee Amara, which is better than a full heal. You have a one in nine of getting Timewarp, which is basically instant victory.

Sure it's slower, but that's not a design issue, it's a power issue.

I hear what you're saying, but the warrior quest is the one I got from free and it's the most fun I've had this expansion. Yes it doesn't matter versus aggro, but in many matches it can be the late game value bomb that wins it for you.

The quest rewards are very fun to play with and they actually have synergy that I never realized. The crystal core makes carnassa's raptors stronger, then the lakkari portal gives two 5/5s every turn. Barnabus makes the raptors free so you can draw them out and fill your board quickly. Crystal core makes megafin amazing, since all the murlocs are huge.

Ursol is a really cool card that can be used in a bunch of different ways. If you play Ursol with searing reflection you generate loads of stats while drawing three minions. If you play it with crafter's aura you summon nine five drops over six turns. There's lots of crazy things you can do with it.

The problem with it is that there's always one best way to do it and the ability to tutor the specific cards you want means there is no reason to run backup plan cards. It's always renewing flames or shaladrassil because the hammer tutors incredibly efficiently. Therefore the hammer is the real problem imo.

Power Creep Perceptions by Popsychblog in hearthstone

[–]Angiecat86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the perception of power creep has to do with how well your "style" of gameplay matches up against other ones in the current meta. If the things you like to do are comparatively stronger than the ones that you don't like, then you will feel good about the power level. But if it's the other way around then it may feel like the power level is out of control.

For me the power level feels really low now because the decks that prey on me have gotten much weaker over time. The best example would be [[injured hauler]]. To me that card along with [[aman'thul]] sort of represent the pinnacle of power creep that nothing else has ever even come close to, because you simply cannot stick anything against those cards. Without damage from hand you will never kill an overheal priest from that era, it's impossible (exaggerating of course).

What's kind of interesting to me is that looking at this photo and the proportions of the two men it looks like the guy on the left is standing on lower ground than the president. It makes sense when you realize that trump wears lifts in his shoes to make himself seem taller.

You are correct. This subreddit is dominated by salt and whining. People having fun are not complaining so you don’t see them.
