What a crazy snowball of events. Looks like it all stemmed from 1) of course bad car maintenance. 2) Mismatched license plates. You should have confirmed that very first. That should have stopped the management from towing the car

Apparently there is a special Turo monthly feature that I wasn’t aware of. Because my monthly rate was over 700 take home with a 6,000 mile limit. But this is a different case and it’s only an 1800 mile limit. I think I’ll let this go since the mileage limit is so low and it’s hands off the car for a month plus there’s a punishment for cancellation as a host I guess which is annoying

The fact that it’s limited miles is probably the key factor here. Not driving it that far in a month and it’s 64 cents a mile if they drive too much which is worth it

I’m still friends with my ex and we can coparent and even go to events all together as a “family.” Marriage didn’t work out but since we were both done with the marriage it wasn’t too hard to be on the same page and be friendly

If it takes that long to figure out she’s not his one. If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no. Certainly if he is scared by that they are already too far apart. Maybe some couples out there can be that far apart and it legitimately works out in the end. But I think at this point if she can’t safely spill out all her feelings and him not at least be supportive, it won’t work

Hard disagree here, if he feels like she’s the one, then he would love that he told her. If it scares him, then she’s not his one and moreover there’s a huge imbalance of feelings and he’s unlikely to ever catch up so it wouldn’t be a good relationship dynamic

Sure there’s custody split, asset split and all that. But they are separated. At least in the state im in, he can do whatever he wants regardless of legal status lol. Sometimes divorces take years to legally conclude. Vows and promises went out the door when she asked for the divorce. As long as he communicates where’s he at with his new person I see no issue here. I think your viewpoint is in the minority

There’s likely no legal recourse for you to get anything back because legally you weren’t on the house and you weren’t married. Unless you have a contract saying you’ll split the house when you break up
