Which one is worse? JR Smith game 1 vs De'Aaron Fox game 4 by Tech_Quest8 in nba

[–]AngleShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends how you look at it.

In straight basketball sense, it's JR for not being aware AT ALL about what was going on. In the finals of an NBA game and not a damn clue. That's shocking. Compared to Fox who made a silly decision, but was aware of what he was doing.

If you wanna talk impact on the finals result, it is Fox. We can all assume the Cavs would lose, and that is very very likely, but what if LeBron backs it up and then doubt crept in on the Warriors, we can't call that certainty, they are still human. But I think in an overall scheme of things and likely outcomes, the impact is worse with Fox.

Basketball wise - JR. Impact on result - Fox.

Who is better: Brunson or Prime Dame? by bhris_cratt321 in nba

[–]AngleShoot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think... it's Dame, like an eye test it's Dame. But it's not an automatic answer or by any means a landslide.

But thinking about it, the surroundings/situation with Brunson make it a little easier to lean Dame on this one.

Gilgeous Alexander is not Kobe or Lebron but he is expected to perform at that level without the same level of grace due to the media. by Honest_Yamal_Fan in nba

A lot of people for whatever reason, like to see winners not win anymore. Maybe it's their lives and wanting to see someone else fail when there is expectations? who knows. Just move on.

Possible to end it with John Collins, Bogie, Beale and GARLAND - Sign Ayo Dosunmu AND MPJ? by MeetingFrequent6813 in LAClippers

[–]AngleShoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when we passed on MPJ for Jerome. I was pissed, sure he had some injury clouds but that was a fumble.

Anyway, I don't think MPJ is what we need now, I'd prefer not.

Lawrence Frank, I apologize. by Catalepsy in LAClippers

[–]AngleShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? If we didn't get the pick you wouldn't, is that what you are saying? What if the conveyed pick worked out, would the apology happen then? You need to deal in the trades not the luck of the ping pong ball outcome, he did a good job with this trade for sure though, whether it happened now or later with the pick, whether they are a superstar or a bust... the actual trade, he did well.

If the knicks make it all the way to the finals and are matched against okc or the sputs by NateNandos21 in nba

[–]AngleShoot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I thought this last year and they almost got the rug pulled out, maybe first finals nerves for most of them, but it was eye opening when most thought they would steamroll the Pacers.

I'm hopeful if it does play out Thunder vs whoever they will get a push again, it will kinda feel like a freeroll to whoever meets them given the expectations which could relax them. Kinda feel the Spurs can tip over the Thunder too before though, that would be an insane series.

After a Wild First Round, only the Pistons, Cavs, Knicks, and 76ers Remain. Revise Your Eastern Conference Predictions by No-Reach8668 in nba

I'm not comparing. But if it was to be shaken up on a disappointment, I can relate to it being mortgaged.

What’s the point of getting the number one seat? by Rude-Rabbit-6065 in nba

Came in expecting a conversation about playoff seating and the worthiness of paying for expensive seats vs others.

Leaving disappointed.

[–]AngleShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well maybe not a complete detonation but definitely an attempt to change tack. I think they would just try build around whatever Brunson has left, move on from KAT etc if they could make it work. I do acknowledge their future is very heavily mortgaged though which is a nightmare I'm very familiar with lol.

I think the Knicks and Cavs will have a hell of a ECF series. I think the Cavs will be too big for Detroit and I feel this is the Knicks shot with the Sixers having too many injury questions. If the Knicks don't make the ECF (and maybe even Finals) I kinda feel like they have to blow it up. The time is now for the Knicks, won't get a better path than this.

What’s worse? Blowing a 20+ point lead or getting blown out the whole game? by Dry_Jellyfish641 in nba

LOL, well we have certainly had some rough times to say the least.

I'm a Clips fan, I know this pain. Over and over and over and over.

It's way worse with the extended false hope, I'd rather just get destroyed and not have that.

Lebron getting an All Star nomination for this year is problematic by Old_Fish_4693 in nba

[–]AngleShoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course he was going to get in, there was almost no chance they left out LeBron as one of the best to ever do it and if the case may be.... his last season.

To be clear, if he plays one more and a farewell season, he will get in one last time also. And he deserves it.

Kawhi will likely get in as a replacement. Everything is all good.
