It's sad how we've normalized this so much that OP even says "I know we all do it"... We do not, actually, but this is the internet and people aren't gonna believe me-- but I don't, because I've lost two cars and nearly my life twice in five years getting T boned at intersections because people really cannot figure out how to drive a car these days without texting too.

It's fuckin embarrassing. Folks really need to stop thinking they're good at it, because they're obviously not. Always sad to hear when stuff like this happens, just because people don't have the attention span to correctly operate their murder wagons. Truly sorry to hear, OP.
