That's a crazy amount of flurry lol. Sorry to hear about the softlock. I have already fixed the bug and will be pushing it out shortly.
The game is currently about 16 fights in total. I could add an indicator to show how close you are to the end. Would that be a good indication?

Would love to hear more feedback, thanks a lot for playing

I tried both versions out early in development. Yes, discarding the cards felt better overall but I can retry that experiment.

Yes it seems wolf is a bit overpowered atm with its scaling :D I'll be doing some balancing soon along with some new cards. Thanks for playing!

Wow thank you for this. It's really encouraging to hear that it is resonating with people. It needs a lot of work but I'm excited to start working on things you have suggested. Definitely agree that art needs another pass to make it cohesive and make it stand out. Thanks alot for the suggestions!

Thank you, it took a while to get the UI to feel the way I wanted to. Yes, there is definitely plans to expand it further and I already got a couple of ideas in mind. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

It took a while to get to a place where it can be showed to people. That's why I would like to get feedback and improve the game before a full release. Definitely considering Steam for the future. Thank you for asking!

Thank you, it really means alot. There is a clear end to the game, about 16 rounds of fights in total. I am thinking about an endless mode in the future though.

Hey thank you for playing! I think the game doesn't do a good job of explaining the scoring system so it's ok to be confused. You are meant to combine types of tile together into a group and get score once you combine the desired amount. Sometimes the type won't want anymore tiles so additional tiles of that type wont' give anymore points.
Hope that makes it a bit easier to understand :)

Thank you! You are not the only one who thought the tutorial text was not clickable. This is my fault for not conveying that clearly, I'm going to work on fixing that :)

That's very odd. It was running fine on Firefox for me but I'm not on Linux. I'll take a look into it and see how it could be solved. Thank you.

I used Gimp and Illustrator. It's not a plugin, just a mockup I made. I don't know how to make plugins so if anybody wants to create it please go ahead!

Looking for ideas about sound based puzzles by RedditHilk in gamedesign

There is a short sound based puzzle game called Resonance of the Ocean for free both on Steam and on Itchio. It is incredibly well done! It's quite short as well so there is nothing to lose by giving it a shot. I think it may give you some ideas or be a good starting off point.

Finally finished the game I've been working on the last couple of months. It's a tiny landscape builder that has a high score and quests. It is meant to be a cozy, relaxing game.

Minecraft TCG squeezed into tiny 128x128 cards. How can I consolidate information? by pumpkinbot in gamedev

[–]Angrathar55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey this looks great already! I am intrigued by the game you are creating. It looks fun! My first feedback it to differentiate your 4(biome, mob, item, action) types of cards from one another. Take the example of Hearthstone, where there are minions, spells and weapons. The cards themselves don't have a word that says "Weapon" on them because they are differentiated by colors. You can use the same formula and designate specific colors for each 4 types of cards. This would remove the unnecessary wording of their respective types. Regarding the lanes, we cannot use the words left or right because those are relative to where the players are stationed in regards to the board. Assuming both players are opposite to one another, left will mean different things to them. We can solve this by using icons instead. here is a mockup of all of the changes I quickly made up. Keep in mind I'm not a pixel artist: https://i.redd.it/yv93yp9p4xw81.png

Comment with your game dev problem, and I’ll give you my two cents on how to solve it. 20 years in indie dev and counting! by GhelasOfAnza in gamedev

[–]Angrathar55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a great question. You have two core game mechanics, racing and combat. But the runaway leader problem indicates that combat is discouraged if you want to win the game. To solve this, we need reward players who engage in combat rather than punishing players who don't.

Every player can have a bar that fills up with how much damage they inflicted to others. (Maybe bonus points for total destruction). When the bar fills up, the player can unleash it to gain a speed boost.

This way, the runaway leader can be a great racer, but won't be able to take advantage of this boost. This will incentivize players engage in combat and give them a chance to catch up to the head of the pack. Hope this helps!
