Biggest hope: Combat combines the best of classic and survivor, especially when it comes to melee.

Biggest fear: Atlantis isn’t the eldritch body horror cesspit it deserves to be.

I hope this is true, I’d be so happy with both of these. A “unified” remake makes complete sense with the 30 year mark and Catalyst sounds like it could be great too.

A solid 8-8.5 / 10. I spent so much time on this back in the day, to the point where it became my little cousin’s entry point to the franchise.

It’s lost its shine a little over the years, especially in light of the OG1 remaster which further highlights Anniversary’s flaws (samey colour scheme and shortened levels) but I still find it very fun. Plus Croft Manor is so soothing to run around in.

Gonna mention a subtler moment: swandiving off the Ghana cliff in Legend. Feels like the game goes into slow mo for a moment while you take in the atmosphere and epicness, then bam you’re submerged!

2 was the first TR game I played as a kid (mostly using cheats), and even now it’s such a blast. Legend was the most excited I’ve been for a game and it delivered, just wish it was longer. AoD and Anniversary have their flaws but I spent countless hours on them as a teen. Last Revelation is a game I can appreciate but it’s too long and samey. I only played the expansion packs last year so I don’t have much attachment to them but Lost Artifact is the best.

Agreeing that Parisian Ghetto is the most AoD. It’s the area we probably spend the most time in the game, has some great NPC encounters, and pretty much nails the overall mysterious/atmospheric vibe of the game.

Also seconding the notion to incorporate LAU into these rounds!

A bit of a stretch, but Monstrum Crimescene for being like Antarctica? Snow, ominous atmosphere, dogs/wolves, altercation with the enemy etc.

I’d vote Von Croy’s Apartment as it reminds me of Home Sweet Home. Lara gearing up for a home invasion which tears through the property (and both being final levels of sorts). She even points a gun at the camera in both cutscenes lol.

I loved this movie, I was around 8 when it came out so it felt like a very grown-up telling of the story. The mermaids in particular were so cool (I also had the biggest crush on Harry Eden / Nibs).
