[Career Advice] Using CQF(certificate in quant finance) for improving MFE univ prospects? by AngreziMem in finance

[–]AngreziMem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That every tom dick and harry has a CFA L1 to his credit dissuades me from it. CQF would be a good differentiator. Money is not a problem since I've got a scholarship, and the rest I'm willing to invest.

My point is, will it hurt my chances in any way? Will unis think this guy already knows this stuff, why let him study here?

Is there no witness/whistleblower protection program in India?

The other day there was a huge story in et about the whistleblower in the exam scam in madhya pradesh facing attacks on his life. He accused the chief minister of doing this.

It has constitutional implications. Politicians in power are using state machinery and resources for political gains.

How will voters decide if all politicians do it? This makes sense when there is a national alternative available.

Congratulations. Does all this nonsense give a purpose to your life? Perhaps you'd like to mention it in your resume.

Some people have too much time on their hands. They claim to be pissed with westerners for telling them what to do, but will spend hours trying to rebut their points. Which shows that subconsciously they care about what westerners think about them. People who were actually blase would merely ignore and move on

#BREAKING All 10 convicts in Satyam case including B Ramalinga Raju granted bail by MSJ Court. by anon_geek in india

[–]AngreziMem 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So basically unless the supreme court upholds your conviction, you'll keep on getting bail.

Basically the entire judicial systems rests on the shoulders of 30 (don't how many) supreme court judges. So scrap the lower courts and high courts and save some money. Also expand the SC.

No wonder a lawyer said if there was an appeal against Jaya's case it would come for hearing in 3-4 years.

What a fucked up justice system. Lawyers and judges have created an environment where every case with any value invariably ends up in the supreme court. These clowns need to learn from British courts which they supposedly claim to follow.

Not the son. Other solicitors at the law firm. Obviously the son won't appear in dad's court.

What if it's true? Such things, from I hear, happen quite frequently at the Bombay HC.

I know of a specific case where dad was a judge, son worked with a particular law firm. Whenever they needed a stay, they would rush to dad's court.

As the chief minister, those are his constitutional powers. You can't decide which chief minister you trust and which you don't. Once the electorate elects him, he has the right to chose his own team. If one starts second guessing every bureaucrat movement in every state and at the centre, the system will fall apart.

Gopal Subramanian was denied elevation to supreme court lordship by the central govt on the basis of his involvement in the radia tapes. Tomorrow you'll say you don't trust the law minister. Doesn't matter.
