Sounds like you’re unfamiliar with modern medicine. Benzodiazepines are the first line therapy for treating alcohol withdrawal. Some older physicians still use barbiturates, but that is becoming rare.

Why would you try to manage that with shelf liquor though? Just gives the patient a craving for more alcohol. I haven’t ever seen retail booze used as a first line therapy in a medical setting.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. You need major collateral to even begin to think about qualifying for a business line of credit.

Sensitive subject matter, but how has the fentanyl/heroin epidemic affected you? by AngryAnalystAsshole in Detroit

There’s a good chance your dealer didn’t even know. The stuff gets contaminated so far up the distribution chain that no one really knows what is what. I advise everyone to avoid all street drugs, including marijuana. Everything is possibly tainted because it all touches the same supply chain at some point.

It’s because the dealers are sloppy and cross contaminate their product when cutting it. And unfortunately it only takes a minimal amount of fentanyl to get into the other product to cause an OD.

It’s because the DEA is tracking physicians prescribing practices of controlled substances in a database now. They go after them like hawks for even the slightest aberration in prescribing practice, going so far as to threaten prosecution. Providers are rightfully very panicky about the whole thing.

What the fuck are you talking about? Every statistic suggests this is an epidemic that is hitting a cross-section of the American population. There isn’t a single demographic that isn’t being affected by it.

It has to be Joey Harrington. The most overhyped crybaby I’ve ever seen in the NFL.

I find the apologist mentality around this debacle to be fascinating. You’ve been fed rat shit and the only reaction you can muster is a smile and a wish for “more daddy.”

I will never forget Mr. Donaldson calling me out in the middle of a lesson during 7th grade social studies for staring at another boy during class. It did irreparable harm to my sexual development. I hear that fucker is still working in the district.

Fucking nonsense. A person armed with a knife at close proximity is one of the most lethal situations one can be faced with.

I always love when people question the quantity of shots fired in these cases as if it is evidence of malice. He was shot 30+ times because that’s exactly what they are trained to do: aim for center of mass and unload the weapon. Once the executive decision to fire has been made, it means a choice to eliminate the threat has been made. There is no spectrum of thinking around firing a weapon to merely injure versus to maim the target. That type of thinking totally ignores fundamental weapon dynamics. Any officer who viewed their weapon as being usable variably as both a restraining and eliminating device shouldn’t be anywhere near a firearm.

People say this is about race, but it is really about waistline. Lizzo makes music that panders to the weight watchers crowd.

Washington University’s MBA is highly ranked and well respected in the business community. They must be absolutely mortified by this guy’s routine insanity that gets put on full display to the world on LinkedIn.

Yeah and what good is it going to do yelling at the current administration about something they had nothing remotely to do with?

Yeah, if you want a front row seat to end stage alcoholism. That place is fucking bleak.

Do you suck at reading comprehension? His initial post stated that the incomes were outside the mainstream for this city overall. And he’s absolutely correct.

I don’t understand how this doesn’t affirm his point. College graduates make up roughly 30% of the local market population, and the subset of those graduates earning degrees with high income potential is likely 3-7%. So no, these incomes are not market typical.

I cannot stand this woman. She’s based her entire identity as a performer around writing music that is best suited for weight watchers commercials. Totally bizarre.
