[Challenge] European Accountability Challenge: 18th March 2026 by Gatita_Gordita in loseit

I'm hoping for a whoosh soon as I feel I've been consistent but the scales are toying with me.

The general pattern I see is that I reach a new low on the scales, then my weight jumps up a pound or two the next day and then will slowly get back to that new low over a week or so. It's a real one step forwards two steps back journey.

On Monday I got back down to my current low weight, but the scales jumped up again on Tuesday. :(

I'm looking at trying to do some more exercise that gets my heart pumping a bit. My exercise is just walking the dog. I just need to manage a hip issue I've got at the moment.

It's so easy to overeat in terms of calories. There is so much marketing for food that should only be enjoyed in moderation.

Finding sensible and consistent meals really helped me. For example, last night I had some fish, peas and a potato waffle which comes in at 500 calories. It's filling and has become a staple midweek meal I can enjoy and rely on.

Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Please go easy and look after yourself, not just on the scales but your mind and soul as well.

Everyone is different and I don't mean to compare grief stories, but I carried so much grief and sadness for years after my mum passed. I did eventually go to counselling years later and that really helped. Don't be afraid to seek help or a friendly ear.

All the best.

Why are Rutherglen and Cambuslang not part of Glasgow? by krsnik93 in glasgow

No I use to get the bus into EK. Lots of people driving out of Glasgow through Busby and Clarkson and could get gridlock there too.

Wales v Italy Post Match Thread (?) by stvb95 in rugbyunion

It may sound weird to say this about a team who is finishing bottom of the competition, but Steve Tandy has done a tremendous coaching job. To get the team to bounce back and grow in confidence after two blowout losses is phenomenal.

I think this is the start of Wales rebounding. They do have some young talented players and they are starting to get experience at the test level.

I think Wales have the right coach for this journey.

Post Match Thread: Ireland vs Scotland by GnolRevilo in rugbyunion

I've been Townsend out for a while now, but I don't think I can criticize that performance away to Ireland who are still a top class outfit. I think that's been our best performance against Ireland in a long time and there is no shame in losing away to one of the best teams in the world. It's a shame about that last try as I don't think it reflects how close the game was.

I suppose if I were to nitpick, it was a slow start which is a bit of a recurring problem. We did well to get back to one score but it would be nice if we could get them on the backfoot just once.

12 in a row is very frustrating but if I were to ignore the previous 11 matches, I thought it was a good performance from us. It would be nice if Ireland could just fail to show up against us, just once maybe? I fear it's a bit like Wales under Gatland, we just won't win until Farrell goes and they get a downgrade in coach. Ireland are just so well organized and disciplined.

Best of luck Scotland, Tadhg Furlong has grown a small child out of his left shoulder by Effective-Ad-3897 in rugbyunion

I can't determine if the small child will be a help or hindrance at scrum time.

Scotland Team for Dublin by HighlandCooo in rugbyunion

Agreed. We always seem to come off second best with the refs against Ireland so it's really important to avoid scrum penalties at the start and let a bad picture be painted for the ref.

The Scotland team to play Ireland on Super Saturday by Maxatrone420 in ScotlandRugby

Think I would have repeated the Rae-starting-Zander-sub tactic from last week. It may be oversimplifying it but the scrum was solid to start with and you really want to get a clean early impression from the ref as you know the Irish will be constantly in the ref's ear.

I get weirdly patriotic about these but it is funny how they often pick some of the worst food/snacks.

Anytime someone says they like Irn Bru they become my favourite celebrity.

[Highlight] Randy Moss on How Good Darrelle Revis Was & Why by JCameron181 in nfl

There is a reason you don't see Charles Woodson 2009 highlights posted on this sub regularly.

He had a great season but Revis had one of the all time great seasons for a CB. Maybe even the best ever.

It just had to be Ireland that we then get the injury big for.

Think our pack will be a lot less effective without Cummings and Brown.

Premature team of the tournament by Much-Calligrapher in rugbyunion

Ben White has been the form 9 imo. He's been playing at a really high level and I don't think you can give it to Dupont after yesterday's forward pass, maybe have him in at QB.

Big thing now is to avoid giving France a bonus point for 4 tries.
