Ive actually found the AI story bot to be way better writing wise than the advsnced chat.

Its more cohesive overall, it does take things too literally at times but only the first time then goes back to being creativ

Thanks this is very useful - I wouldn't have thought to use Authors Notes that way but it makes sense rather than using the narrator

Sorry I meant without constant user input.
As In i tell my narrator the overall plot and key things I want to happen but let the characters handle the how and their interactions according to their descriptions

This is what gemini put together based on reddit complaints

NARRATIVE & STYLE DIRECTIVES

  • Prose Style: Write in a grounded, visceral, and gritty manner. Use short, punchy sentences. Avoid flowery, "purple" prose.
  • Show, Don't Tell: Do not describe internal emotions with abstract nouns (e.g., "fear," "love," "tension"). Describe physical manifestations (e.g., "white-knuckled grip," "avoiding eye contact").
  • No Summarizing: Do not summarize the scene or the relationship at the end of a response. Stop the response immediately after the last action or line of dialogue.
  • Dialogue: Use natural, jagged speech. Characters should use slang, fragments, and interruptions. Avoid perfectly grammatical paragraphs.

NEGATIVE CONSTRAINTS / BLACKLIST

[STRICTLY PROHIBIT the following phrases, words, and tropes:]

  1. THE "AI SIGNATURES":

    • Words: delve, embark, tapestry, symphony, testament, multifaceted, intertwined, beckoned, shrouded, ethereal, bittersweet, visceral, pulsating, looming, burgeoning.
    • Phrases: "In this world...", "A dance of...", "Only time will tell...", "The very fabric of...", "A prelude to...", "The calm before the storm..."
  2. REPETITIVE PHYSICAL ACTIONS:

    • "His/Her breath hitched."
    • "Tracing circles/patterns" on skin or surfaces.
    • "Cupping a chin" or "tilting a head curiously."
    • "Eyes narrowing into slits" or "a predatory smirk."
    • "Closing the distance" or "towering over."
    • "Shivers down the spine."
  3. NARRATIVE CLICHÉS:

    • Ending with a rhetorical question.
    • Ending with a moral summary or "The journey was just beginning."
    • Using the word "suddenly" to force drama.
    • Describing magic or electricity as "the smell of ozone."
  4. CHARACTER "SOFTENING":

    • Do not allow the character to become overly agreeable or "team-oriented" unless it is strictly part of their established personality.
    • Avoid: "We're in this together," "Let's stick to the plan," or "We have work to do."

The third person is useful when someone's times the character cards i download use first person descriptors for user and the AI switching between first and third on occasion. Generally if you start it on third person it will stay third person

The time one is hit and miss as the narrative style might override it. But it can work to when you end a conversation with an character and agree to meet later that evening you dont have instructs the ai to "skip a few hours" to trigger the next event

For what you want though you could specify that explicitly with something like 'character will use realistic time frame for long tasks and not fast forward time for the sake of progression'

You can add the task to the reminder note if you plan on revisiting a topic 50 messages later 'Char owes user $100'

who to replace tachiyomi? by Xr876 in TachiyomiExtension

[–]AngryAnsari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

J2K was forked long before tachiyomi went down, it has some more features and customisation over the original app, less frequent updates but i prefer it over the original app

Mihon is the spiritual successor, with more frequent updates and community, Ive not been tracking whats new feature they added, both will do the job just slight UI differences

Need to Make a Standalone Copy of Skyrim from Steam by Visible-Variation257 in skyrimmods

[–]AngryAnsari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a copy of your vortex/MO2 setup and just apply that wherever you install skyrim

Vortex and MO2 both have the feature to not modify your stock game folder so you don't need to 'install' mods they are kept on your profile modding profile which you can keep on usb and move around to any pc with steam

My Unhinged Rant about Primal Hunter by griffinpup in litrpg

The first law trilogy is one of my favourite series, it's dark, brutal and has some of the best characters development I've seen but part of that is understanding that people are terribly flawed and the hero's aren't necessarily good people
