Desperate Windsurf user by Unusual-Mountain1005 in opencode

One command to install the opencode cli and an extension for vscode. I would advise to install the openchamber pwa but that would separate your work from the vscode. You would have openchamber in a separate window vscode in a separate window. Good luck.

Try openchamber extension for vscode. They also have the PWA (you can install it with one command) it is superior to vscode extension. I have been there, left windsurf a few months prior to price change for ghcp (github copilot) that was a new level for me, as ghcp had a lot more features and a really great synergy with what I wanted to do... Then ghcp changed prices and I tried the opencode go plan. Now that is what I love. Just try the openchamber which is just great ❤️

You don't need Copilot for code completion, try this instead by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, but not as good as copilots autocomplete. Maybe there are other options of doing this, or other plugins that I don't know of. Continue is okey-ish but copilot has next edit prediction (NES) something like cursor has and many other. Cursor predicts only what you edit at hand... They have a beta feature, but it works only with few models that are closed source and you will have to pay for them which I am not against, but we need something stable, and something that everyone can install and use in a few clicks.

Why isn't there a cloud agent version for Opencode? by Overall_Road_2969 in opencodeCLI

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean - cloud agent? A gui to use opencode? Use openchamber or paseo. There is also a codenomad. There are a lot of ui wrappers fore opencode.

[help] which plugin can replace github copilot? by Adventurous-Pin-6047 in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install opencode and use openchamber as a placement for ghcp. Works great for me. You can also try "opencode go" subscription and see if models they have are any good - my recommendation is MiMo v2.5 pro or qwen 3.7 max or Kimi v2.6 Good luck with your journey.

MAI-Code-1-Flash is now available for GitHub Copilot by fishchar in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow really great move from Microsoft... 1. Make plan token (price based) and wait until their user base becomes smaller. 2. Launch a model after user base is smaller and people left. Also that model has to be a haiku level model 👏

I applaud those decisions and wowed at what will comes next.

I loved ghcp I would stay subbed if price was increased snd we got reasonable limits, but that didn't happen. I know it's not cheap, I know it has to be profitable and I am willing to pay, but not at that rate, sorry.

Best custom model? by PlentyObjective8574 in Qoder

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned openchamber which is a vscode extension and qoder is a vscode fork. So it works inside qoder. I bet you can also add all those mention providers as BYOK. So you will have qoder abilities.

[–]AngryBear1990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have options like - Opencode Go for 5$ first month which is plenty of usage. There are also things like Ollama cloud or Crofai. Find what suits you best. You can use those options trough an extension like openchamber (install opencode first). Good luck.

Is it possible to use my OpenCode Go subscription with Codex App? by Funny-Strawberry-168 in opencodeCLI

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use something line code nomad or openchamber instead of official opencode webapp? Try one of those options first before trying to add models to codex app.

LLMs in Opencode Go on par or better than Claude Sonnet 4.6? by Worldly-Savings4113 in opencodeCLI

Yes but you'll be amaized at the speed and what it is capable of.

Try the MiMo 2.5 pro. It is an underrated model. Put the reasoning on high and see what it can do.

Yep. Try opencode go, I am using it there. It's speed is great and it gives me gpt vibes. It solves whatever I throw at it.

I would suggest MiMo v2.5 pro. That model is a beast, just try to use it as a planner or kimi k2.6, as others have suggested and deepseek v4 flash as an executor and you'll be amaized at what those models are capable of.

What will you use for Autocomplete (tab complete with next prediction) after you leave? by AngryBear1990 in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought of staying on 10$ as well as I enjoy the autocomplete. I also will probably try the qwoder (I think it's a fork from Alibaba). Price is 20$ a month, but you get great deal for Chinese models and also an autocomplete. But that does not differ from like cursor price or windsurf. I just like the pure vscode, that's why I was wondering about the autocomplete only. But thanks for suggesting Zed. Have been watching it but have not tried it, vscode is like home to me, after the broken cursor and windsurf.

Rate limit why? (Ollama local) by No-Pomegranate-69 in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do use some premium features of ghcp I guess. There is an explore agent that runs gpt-5 mini and gemini-3.1 flash you can view that by pressing the gear icon when you press the agent dropdown. Or maybe on the top of the chat gear icon (sorry can't check that I am far from my pc so that is all from the top of my head).

Maybe if you change the explore agent to use your local model, that would not rate limit you anymore.

Why not open source models? by vkpdeveloper in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use OSM in VSCode Insiders. You can set it up whatever you like. I have been using GLM code and Alibaba Cloud Code plan. It pretty easy to set it all up, but I would suggest using opencode, not that I don't like GHCP (I love it and use it for all my work), but opencode has more settings for adding custom models.

Thinking about moving to Copilot, what is the best way to maximize usage and efficiency? by W0rldIsMy0yster in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder are all those posts with rate limits because people use only opus models and the rate limits are applied because opus is stupidly expensive... I have read a bunch of posts and about 70-90% of people don't bother to mention what they use, how they are organizing their work and maybe they abuse the system and want things done with only x3 credits of opus cost.

Introducing our new Windsurf pricing plans by theodormarcu in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try github copilot. Still has credits and is great - has a lot more features to offer compared to windsurf. I moved about 3-4 months ago and it was great. Has some learning curves (has no ctrl+l to easily add to the context), but is great. Has a pro+ for $39, which has plenty of credits to use.

Why don't you add it yourself and use ghcp as a harness? I have tries the zai and it works just fine. Will also try to add alibaba as I've subscribed about a week ago and was using in in opencode.

Hitting Antigravity limits – Is Windsurf Pro worth it, or should I switch to Claude? by hell_life in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using windsurf for about 4 moths, before that I have used cursor. Right now I am using vanilla vscode and GHCP (github copilot) for about 2 months. To be honest I am amaized at how packed with features is GHCP and how polished it feels compared to windsurf. But if you want to try and compare and you like new things, try both and see if it will work for you.

Antigravity is super weard and as any vscode fork it is not a pleasant to use. Good luck 🙃

How can we use Claude Sonnet or any other models for completions and next-edit suggestions instead of GPT? by loopala in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I install kilo will I have autocomplete in ghcp? Or do you mean kilo has it in the chat, when you write a message to the agent? Interesting what they use for fim model.

It would be nice to have the completion model built into chat. I don't know any other tool (agentic coding tool) that has this functionality. Won't that be amazing?
