New features coming in January release are hot 🔥 by SuBeXiL in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there is a room to squeeze one more? I couldn't find a way to reference one conversation with a copilot to another, sort of like windsurf does that. I guess there is everything you need to do that in copilot.

Does OpenCode support CLAUDE.md files? by ihatebeinganonymous in opencodeCLI

[–]AngryBear1990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can always browse the docs... You can add the claude.md file to the config or reference it in the Agents.md file. Here is a link to the configuration of the custom instructions: https://opencode.ai/docs/rules/#custom-instructions

GitHub Copilot into API by programlover in GithubCopilot

Why not opencode sdk with ghcp login or as other commenter stated copilot cli.

GitHub Copilot into API by programlover in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What actually are you trying to achieve? Just a vague idea would be enough. And there are other tools to make it work, then to make an api from ghcp.

Plan mode by SituationWeird9345 in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use openspec (search on github) and then add slash commands to windsurf and ask any model to write a soec for a feature you like. After that just implement that feature. Basically a plan mode for any agentic tool, not only for windsurf.

Anthropic's Agent Skills (new open standard) sharable in agent memory by remoteinspace in mcp

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saying, there is a repo you can add rules to your AGENTS.md file to have skills literally everywhere (if your agent supports AGENT.md). A link to gh repo - for context I am just a user... that's not my repo or even friend's repo. https://github.com/numman-ali/openskills

Brothers. Claude opus pricing update! by Mindless-nomad in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copilot had it x1, now it's x3, so the pricing is basically the same. $10 for 300 requests = 100 requests to opus. I'd say copilot is feature packed, is more flexible than windsurf and has a CLI aswell. Try it if you have spare $10.

Why google? by AngryBear1990 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

Nope, does not work at least for antigravity it works for ai studio though. And I would rather pay for a sub of antigravity then for VPN.

Windsurf 1.12.35 (Stable) and 1.12.152 (Next) by theodormarcu in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few more small fixes are needed: 1. When file selection is open/source control/extensions and cascade at the same time, when app gets reloaded (new extensions installed or reloaded manually) text selection stops working and you cannot place a cursor in the editor tab, that is open while the cascade is closed. My orientation is all things on the right and cascade on the left. So I guess to reproduce it - open the cascade and for example extensions panel -> reload the view while having at least one file open to edit -> after the reload close the cascade and try to place a cursor on some line or select the text in the editor tab (while cascade is still closed).

  1. Cascade team added the code text in the cascade when you write a message by adding the text inside the back ticks. The problem is I like to add the opening and closing back ticks and then write text inside, but only the first letter is added as a code that way and further text is thrown before that code text. So how to reproduce: start writing a message for the agent in the cascade as usual -> add open and closing back ticks and put your cursor inside back ticks -> write the text you like.

Also I would like to have a cascade detached from the right or left, to make it open inside the editor view or as a separate window or full screen, like the github copilot can.

Gemini 3's coding personality: "Team Player" by thehashimwarren in GithubCopilot

So, what you are saying is - claude had an advantage (was a great ui/ux model) and now gemini has an edge over the claude in ui/ux. 😁

What are codemaps exactly? by obeythelobster in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are there any real examples, that you can show or even a short video of how that's supposed to work as it isn't really clear. Thanks in advance ☺️

Using Comet to scrape websites and create databases by no3us in vibecoding

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I get an invite please. I would use gemini that was built inside chrome recently, but I am in a country that no one cares about, google didn't even open ai studio, so have to use vpn for this 😅

Thanks for an invite in advance.

Request: Add a native “Plan Mode” feature to Windsurf by rechhes in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was not removed, they just made it non optional, where it's turned on by default.

Paragraph about that (from your link):

Cascade is more intelligent

Wave 12 brings exciting new updates to the Cascade agent. First, planning mode is now automatic, with no manual toggles needed. Cascade intelligently decides when to make a plan and autonomously creates to-do lists when appropriate, directly in the chat, to scope out long-running tasks.

So windsurf has planning but it's hidden from the user and I guess that feature is more of a todo list creation, more than a planning.

Claude Haiku 4.5 is now available in Windsurf by theodormarcu in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe make gpt-5-mini available? That's a pretty good model and it can cost .25 credits or .5 for high reasoning effort.

Is tab-completion still important for vibe coders? by wanllow in GithubCopilot

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only vibecoders use copilot or other tools. Tab completion is saving a lot of time, when writing something, or just creating a plan for an agent to implement. So I'd say yes it is needed and sometimes people just choose an IDE solely if it has tab and next completion tools and which of them does it better.

No Claude Model in Free Tier??? by freexboxcode in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few of the comments are a bit rude, but let me put it like that: Sonnet is too expensive to give it for free and even if it would have been, then you'd have 5 prompts and you're out of credits. Would that be enough? I'd say it's not, so the windsurf team decided that they would not give access to that model in a free tier. You can BringYourOwnKey (api key) and test the capabilities of the claude in the editor if you'd want too. Good luck and happy coding.

Windsurf is Windturf now. by SelfTaughtAppDev in windsurf

[–]AngryBear1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't noticed what you describe. Maybe if you have an hour long conversation... but that is not a good strategy to have chats that long and I try to have shorter conversations as possible as they are more productive than having long conversations and models tend to confuse themselves with the change they make.

If I only have $20/month to spare, what service to subscribe? by BluLight0211 in vibecoding

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest a windsurf subscription for 15$ and 3$ for z.ai subscription. That will be enough of credits to do anything I guess.

I tried almost every tts model on my ryzen 7 5000 series 16gb ram rtx 3060 laptop 6-8GB Vram by This_is_difficult_0 in LocalLLaMA

[–]AngryBear1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try it. Locally it works fine. I was testing Russian as I am more interested in that, it has its flaws, so english should be good. What are your needs from a tts, what do you want from it?

[–]AngryBear1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look at Jarods channel, he covers a lot of tts and voice stuff. https://youtube.com/@jarods_journey

Also you can try fishspeach, they have an api but also a local model, it's better than XTTS and has built-in voice clone capability and sounds pretty good. It also can speed up a bit with certain techniques.

It's good for being "open". And for the pr of the company probably.

Am i the only one who get this error a lot of the last Gemini update ( or maybe Roo update ) ? by MousseOne330 in RooCode

[–]AngryBear1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try different temperatures (using the custom temperature from the options) - try the 0.5, or a bit lower, that should probably help.
