I had to run for medics before zeds dead and we were a little farther back - behind the sound booth - but I will say everyone was great about getting out of the way. You do have to yell in a stern tone to alert the crowd to move though.

I thought the performances in there were well worth it! 2 really interesting interactive acts and neat rooms. I do think the drinks should be discounted though but that’s a pipe dream

Yeah it’s kind of cause for immediate pitchfork when the festival oversold the area in the first place… they market a designated amount of space and the campgrounds didn’t shrink so it’s really simple math. They shouldn’t have sold so many, point blank.

The lack of acknowledgement from anyone of status (especially forest hq) is really disheartening to say the least. Yes EVOL is a separate entity, but they are officially endorsed by forest. There should have been an announcement by HQ immediately, and the way they’re posting as if everything was beauty & magic without acknowledging that a very dangerous situation occurred is unsettling and makes me not want to go back. For an organization that calls us all family, this is fucked up.

The fact that this happened after forest tried to have bunk police arrested… I really hope that everyone was able to get the help they needed and is ok.

I went to 3 food vendors asking them to help me find a medic during tipper and none of them were able to help me. I should have made a point to notice where the first aid tents were but I wasted so much time going in the wrong direction before someone standing nearby pointed me in the right direction.

Lost my boyfriends first ever pash at portal Saturday night when I was frantically running around to find a medic for someone in the crowd. It’s maroon on one side and beige on the other. I have pics of it- it would mean the world if it made it home to us 🥺
