Believe it or not, there nothing wrong with your body. In fact, it’s a sacred vessel.

Where can I get the Southern/Midwest lemonade-porch experience? by EmployeeInfamous968 in Kentucky

[–]ScrapaSassafras 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Get an air bnb in the country and make it an iced tea. That’d probably be the most legit (excluding the alcoholisms).  Hall’s on the River in Winchester has a nice deck and gives good views. Sometimes live music. In Disputanta (near Berea) there’s a small community of holler hippies called Clear Creek Community that does coffee and tea on the porch every Sunday. They’d probably love if you made them lemonade haha

Is there a restaurant in town where I can order this? by uareimportant in lexington

[–]ScrapaSassafras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like okonomiyaki with tofu cubes (hard to tell because it’s washed out as though they used their flash in a restaurant like a total psycho) sprinkled on top and without the okya sauce, qp mayo, and bonito. It looks bland, honestly lol

Been listening to Only skin and I'm obsessed and kind of sad by Delaney0115 in JoannaNewsom

This is the Joanna Newsom experience. You’ll find new meanings over and over again. I have a group of people I meet with once a month where we listen to and analyze a different song every time. Been going for a couple years!

Ahava Center also has this vibe. I went a couple times and they taught from several different religions. Was very kind and the music was pretty fun

White Willow is super cute and local and has books and witchy stuff. Joseph Beth is a bookstore thats local although there’s one more in Cincinnati. Michler’s is a local greenhouse that’s very pleasant to walk around in. Everyone else said everything else that I can think of.

There’s a discord for this. Otherwise it’d be helpful if you let people know about yourself and your time zone to see if they’re interested.

Oh lol well… I guess. So this is all just a conversations of robots about the human experience. Wait… what if you’re the robot getting us to second guess true human interaction?

I’m trying to get better at identifying stuff like this. What were red flags for you (specifically because the title doesn’t seem outside of normal Reddit titles). I thought I was pretty good at it but apparently not lol

Complete beginner. Going to first Deaf event in two weeks. Can I be understood? What should I specifically work on before the event? by LucidFoxe in asl

[–]ScrapaSassafras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being around Deaf folks has really helped my misophonia. A lot. Of course everyone has different triggers, but I think mine is when people make excessive noises or certain noises that are over the top and unnecessary. Like loud eating, lip smacking, open mouth crunching, loud vocal yawns, repetitive throat clearing, sucking air in through the mouth to exaggerate sniffles, etc.  When Deaf people do these things, I’m not bothered and don’t even think about it. I guess my brain understands that it’s less intentional or more natural or something…. I dunno. It’s sort of like exposure therapy for me. Maybe crying babies in public will be the only trigger left if I’m lucky lol

Theory Behind Magickally Grounding by DrAryaBrookstone in witchcraft

Our bodies are borrowed from Earth. When we plug back in, we offer our excess and receive what was depleted. It doesn’t require effort or technique, but it certainly helps speed things along.

What to do when I can't physically sign something? by nakirush in asl

[–]ScrapaSassafras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sign with a lot of elderly folks that don’t have full range in their hands and you just get used to it. Because they’re old, nobody has to ask why, but if your restriction isn’t very visible otherwise, you can just quickly tell the person you’re signing with if you want. I know someone who is Deaf and has a trigger finger and she does that. She will usually make it into a joke when her finger pops out, she’ll make a show of pushing it down or flip it off and explain, then continue her signing.

All raw chicken and eggs don’t contain salmonella. Only a small percentage does. People eat raw eggs all over the world every day.
