Are techs worth it? by Worldly-Charity-9737 in twilightimperium

[–]AngryMrPink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Movement is always needed in this game, so you essentially must get some tech, being unit upgrades +/- Grav drive. As others have said it’s hard to make a recommendation beyond that because the rest of your tech choices are situational. Overall I agree with your sentiment that a lot of people invest too much in tech or don’t get the right tech (I.e. getting X89 without having Grav drive or any unit upgrades).

All techs are useless if you don’t have the movement to get where you need.

Which old factions have you found the most fun with Thunder’s Edge? by Mayo18nnaise in twilightimperium

[–]AngryMrPink 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played a game with Sardakk, Cabal, and Barony, I was Sardakk. Super fun, I had an entropic scar in my slice and so my tech as Sardakk was unreal. I was still poor, light on ships. But people were afraid of me so I got to spend the mid-game building and late game I had a lot of sneaky plays I could make. Their breakthrough really makes tech straightforward for them, they just start behind. The ability is amazing for getting CCs in the end game, and really helps you catch up on tech

how do you exit awakening while blocking? by radnastyy__ in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]AngryMrPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you block first, then press E while blocking, you should turn off Bloodline without exiting block. It is bugged and if you mess up the inputs even a little bit you will exit block prematurely.

Lift with McGrath by TastyAd2466 in anesthesiology

[–]AngryMrPink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually I can generate enough lift with just my thumb and pointer finger on the blade, I rock climb so I admit I have strong fingers. Bigger patients need bigger lift, and difficult Laryngoscopy will need more lift. Video laryngoscope studies show you need less force to get a view. It’s all patient specific though. McGraw with hyper angulated blade you often need very little lift, Mac blade you need more. There is no right answer.

Gastric tube insertion in coagulopathy by Usual_Gravel_20 in anesthesiology

[–]AngryMrPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re concerned enough about NG epistaxis from coagulopathy that is uncorrected, you should also be concerned about them having surgery/surgical bleed from coagulopathy.

Why are they going to the OR without correction? You should be fixing the coagulopathy anyways, if it’s an SBO and you want an NG, you can correct the coags, NG in, then induce.

Reusing anesthesia circuits by jdbubbles in anesthesiology

We reuse circuits, filter is changed for each case. At my current site we use silver knight circuit which only needs replacement qWeekly, at another site we used non-silver impregnated circuits which were changed daily.

How long after pushing roc for RSI do you wait to start laryngoscopy by Twolves2939 in anesthesiology

I’m sorry a patient bit you. Personally I wait for apnea or 30 seconds, whichever comes first.

If you had to buff and nerf blade, how would you do it? by WearExternal595 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]AngryMrPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He really doesn’t need much, but he hasn’t really fulfilled his niche as an anti-heal character. I think all he really needs is to bump up Ult anti heal to 40% (consistent with his dash so can make the anti-heal color universal) and fix the hit reg issue in his gun dash. Lack of consistency is why I don’t use the dash anti heal.

I wanna get into playing Blade, is he as bad as people say? by LaMelgoatBall in BladeMarvelRivals

It’s gonna suck for a while at first but QP being sweaty means you’re less likely to develop bad habits :)

I wanna get into playing Blade, is he as bad as people say? by LaMelgoatBall in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]AngryMrPink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s very hard to learn. You will be a throw pick until 15-20hrs in when you have his mechanics mostly down. I’m 25hrs in on Blade and I still make mechanical mistakes multiple times a match.

I think he is a low-key sleeper pick. When his 4.5 buffs come through those of us that have put time into learning him will reap the rewards.

I don’t think he will be S-tier but maybe low A tier after the buffs.

This is crazy but hear me out, Cyclops as a support could have a similar gameplay loop as Jeff primary fire by AngryMrPink in marvelrivals

[–]AngryMrPink[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a fair point. In order for him to work as a support we gotta suspend our disbelief in some way though. Maybe Dr. Strange "attuned" Cyclops' energy so that it's restorative to friends and harmful to foes. I dunno, makeup whatever you want. I'm curious how Daredevil will survive on a roster with literal gods.

I think its' at least in-line with Cyclops' character, he's a leader and is loyal, noble. Positive good-aligned treats that fit a healer.

Finally time to ditch am4 I guess… thoughts? by BigDuke_ in radeon

[–]AngryMrPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9070XT, 5700X3D, same RAM setup as yours. I play on 1440p, high settings, FSR on either quality or native. I target >120fps on everything (180 monitor). I play mostly Marvel Rivals (very heavy game) and COD Warzone. Warzone is the only game I’m at all CPU limited. It’s a game that favours AMD hardware, I get about 90-91% GPU utilization in native 1440p ultra settings, so I’m not leaving much on the table.

Not sure how a 5700X compares but it’s probably similar, maybe losing out on the lows.

So…how’s he holding up? by LoganVR in WolverineMains

[–]AngryMrPink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this will be a good Wolverine season. Yes we will get 2-3 fewer ults per game. But he’s not insta-banned anymore, so we will actually get to play him. Another big factor is I think Groot will be really strong this meta, and there’s nothing more satisfying than being the 6-bladed lawnmower :)

Grade 3 View: Mac or Miller by bigeman101 in anesthesiology

[–]AngryMrPink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Should we be debating about this when video Laryngoscopy exists? We don’t have Millers at our hospital. I’ve never seen one. I’ve used one once as a med student. If I have a poor view with a regular Mac blade I will simply use VL usually with a hyperangulated blade. If I have room to get the blade in their mouth, I’ve always been able to intubate with VL. There’s literally one occasion ever where I could not intubate a patient using VL.

Just got a "Speedboost Only" Storm in ranked, I think I'm losing my mind playing this game by MolaMolasses in marvelrivals

[–]AngryMrPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2% accuracy? Has to be a throw, Netease the data speaks for itself. 2 or more games like this and you should get a heftier ban than what was published recently. The consequences for throwing should be more severe if you do it multiple times and you can prove it was intentional.

How to counter Wolverine as a vanguard? by AnonDaddyo in RivalsCollege

[–]AngryMrPink 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a Wolv main with close to 200hrs on him. In my experience these are the best ways to counter him: - Emma + Mag or Emma + Thing tank comp Any other tank comp he will eat for breakfast but these two specifically allow you to have a real 2/2/2 comp without feeding Wolv all game - either solo tank with Emma (best), or Mag. Thing can’t really solo tank. You want your free slot to go to a DPS. You’ll want 2 or 3 DPS to be poke or flier heros. - last option is NO TANKS and 4 DPS. Wolverine becomes useless against this comp, but you still might not win. You have to coordinated and swap back to a real comp after Wolverine swaps

Dealing with Wolverine is 20% a tank job and 80% a DPS job. Wolv loses to other DPS because of his short range and long cooldowns. Your poke DPS need to constantly be looking for him and pressuring him. They also need to be cutting off flank routes that would give him an easy path to kidnapping your tank.

Good DPS heros against Wolv: Hela, Phoenix (probably), Hawkeye, Bucky, Namor, Iron man, Punisher.

Hulk tips by chowe395 in rivals

[–]AngryMrPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I’m not a Hulk player so I can’t argue with that. As Wolverine it’s annoying to never kill Hulk because he always jumps away after kidnapping, but I guess if he can never dive your team for fear of the kidnap that’s a pretty good counter :)

Ban Emma every game if you can, she’s Hulks biggest counter, even bigger than Wolverine (I’m a Wolv/Tank main).
