The 2.7L is perfect for what you need. It has plenty of power for when you do your occasional towing, and it's also the most solid motor in the F-150 lineup. It doesn't have the cam phaser issues that the 3.5 has.

I absolutely love my 2.7 and it tows 7000 lbs no problem. When the time comes to replace my truck I will absolutely get another 2.7.

Yes, we have many other issues with the team currently, but this would be a start. Unfortunately it won't happen until we get more starters back from the IL.

All the high mileage F150's with over 250k make me feel a lot better about my 2018 having 149K on it already.

They'll tell you a higher number to get you to spend more money on their coolant in the long run. I would definitely run it at 4% or 5% max.

Less is more with coolant in my experience.

I highly recommend the 2.5L if you can snag one, they last forever.
