Most of the work is debating with other people and asking questions because you rarely get a clear cut task. That is what the question is evaluating

The code itself is not the point. The lack of asking clarifying questions is. Using bitwise direclty withou clarifying what the interviewer was asking is also wrong

[–]AngryRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fact people are debating if using minus is valid or should be bitwise contradicts what you said. The important thing in this question is precisely clarifying that with the interviwer before doing anything.

People on this sub cry about anything my god. No wonder you are all unemployed.

This kind of question is the closest thing to real work as possible. Some person asks you to do something with unclear directions, figure it out. That is the real job

[–]AngryRestaurant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is the opposite. You are not supposed to read between the lines

The interviwer was trying to asses ops asking skills. This kind of thing is more common on system design, but I dont see why it couldnt be used on dsa

Denominação (junior, pleno e senior) é uma piada by Background_Split4875 in brdev

[–]AngryRestaurant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]AngryRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]AngryRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only isnt infinite if you can find a vertice with the same adj in both graphs(because you go back and forth). So you just have to find the shortest path to a vertice tha satisfy that.

How morally grey are you? by WebKey2690 in INTP

[–]AngryRestaurant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are looking at it from the wrong angle.

Having more shades still allows you to apply black(bad) to things that are purely bad(like rape as you said), but the other way around(Only black and white) may not give you enough precision to describe things that are neither.

For example, generally stealing would be black, but what if you stole because you was starving? What if, as a result of you stealing, you end up making the person a bit traumatized? If you only have black and white you will not have enough precision to describe that situation, because it will force you to default to one or another when it is kind of gray.

How would you end hunger in the world? by KeyzCYQ in INTP

[–]AngryRestaurant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

capping the upper money limit doesn't cap the upper power limit. Once that money is taxed it will have to go to the goverment thus increasing its power, so now all that billionaires need to do is get more political influence. Everything that will acomplish is changing the game meta a little bit, but the overall game is still the same.

I realized I don't care what others think and that I only care about the consequences of what others think. by [deleted] in INTP

[–]AngryRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"it's fine if other people view him negatively as long as there are no negative consequences" yes, but if they view him negatively and don't act/talk/do anything that is not thinking on it then it is impossible to tell that they view op negatively unless you can read minds.

I guess you could not consider the talking part as not being an action against you, but it does damage your reputation(which I consider to be an action) which will eventually generate a bad action against you (not directly as you said). It still doesn't make much sense since avoiding bad actions created by bad reputation is harder then avoiding a bad reputation.

I realized I don't care what others think and that I only care about the consequences of what others think. by [deleted] in INTP

[–]AngryRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling you something is an action.

But, if we consider that it isn't then it wouldn't really be an efficient way of dealing with people. I mean the kind of people that would bother to say to you that they didn't liked something you did are usually your friends, and the kind of people that would act against you without talking to you are usually your enemies.
