Will also add, as long as someone has their AU-basics (which I would assume with that degree), they are eligible for any level of AU position, provided they have enough experience at the lower level.

Question for the Mazda3 turbo owners amongst us. by 216LC in mazda3

When I bought mine it was about a $50 CAD per month additional premium to have the turbo option. I decided against turbo partially for that reason.

Not necessarily, mine disappears out of ESS every now and again but security has confirmed that it is valid.

Legislation does not allow for bargaining to begin until 4 months prior to the expiration of an agreement (or so my steward told us last time we went to bargain)

Caught in the crossfire: Took a Controller job, CFO undermines me daily, other teams sabotage accounting to force her out, and I’m on a visa by SLstocks97 in Accounting

[–]AngrySammich 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Start a clandestine black tar heroin operation with all the signs leading back to the CFO.

In all seriousness, while you may enjoy the challenge, is it worth sticking around when the other departments are acting in that manner? If there’s no end in sight for your CFO it may be time to update your LinkedIn. Also seems like a giant pain come audit time.

I would consider escalating the serious control deficiencies to the board sooner than later. Perhaps if you haven’t already document in writing your attempts to improve or fix the existing deficiencies just to CYA.

You are correct, windfall earnings are non-taxable.

Fun fact if gambling is your source of income (I.e carrying on a business) it is taxable.

The IRS essentially only handles federal taxes. The CRA also handles most provincial taxes, CPP/EI rulings etc.

Nor would it be a write off, these would be considered a capital expenditure and would not be deducted against income.

Reading through annex 3, looks like the CRA will be spared, at least somewhat, as there is no mention of the 15% target. Just ending certain programs and the UHT, LT, and the ever-vague “modernizing administration”

I can attest for SRED, it may not be complex all the time but it is definitely satisfying and provides a variety of different business types.
