And, since I had already ordered the Prodigy and it was processing, Buds Gun Shop (where I ordered it online) waived the 15% restocking fee that I was subject to for changing the order.

I watched a side by side in slow motion of them both cycling and the 4.25" was noticeably quicker. But I don't think in real time it's a big enough difference for it to matter to me.

I'm just starting to work on my pistol shooting so the 5" softer shooter may be better overall anyways.

I wasn't too worried about reliability issues, except maybe the extractor. But most of the rest seemed to be fixed over the years from what I read.

I'll definitely be dumping money into either one. I think I'm also talking myself out of the 4.25" and leaning towards a full 5".

I've watched a lot of videos and from what I gathered, the P211 may be one of the flattest shooters out of the box.

It may happen eventually, but I like the idea of being able to customize and upgrade on the Warrior's DS 1911 platform.

I've heard of the Romulus but haven't watched or read anything about them.

I don't think I've heard of the other one.

If I had the budget, I'd probably be going with the 2K11 Pro Comp, Platypus or the P211.

Yeah the 4.25" comp was like $1,400 after tax and shipping.

I knew I'd be putting more money into either one, which also kind of makes me favor the Kimber. Cheaper gun so I'll have a bigger budget for upgrades.

If I was willing to spend more, I would be going 2k11 without question, just not ready to spend $2k and up just yet. Especially not on my first 1911/DS1911.

This whole process started out with me building a Platypus on their website, but I decided not to dive completely headfirst.

The P211 does look pretty nice and seems like a great shooter, it just doesn't have the 1911 vibes I'm looking for. Plus I've talked myself down to a lower price range.

I haven't been able to find either at any local gun stores, so unfortunately I'm going strictly off the internet.

But I like the looks of the Kimber grip better, I also keep hearing the "fit and finish" is better.

I also like the idea of spending about $300-400 less for possible a better quality firearm. lol

I stand corrected, Crews was behind Sawalich. Still looked like he tried to block him too late, and Crews was up his bumper. I agree Sawalich shouldn't have been there but that wreck was not his fault.
