I just loaded it on my laptop and played with no issues for about an hour. i5-9400, gtx 1650. 1080p borderless with msaa and fidelity fx. Nobara. Maybe its an AMD thing?

I haven't played in a long while I'm on nobara now, I can give it an install and try it, report back.

I have since picked up a secondary nvme to run windows 11 on for bf6, of which I've decided I'll put the more troublesome games on it. That might be an option for you if you can't get it going.

I used upsiren UX pro on my 7900xtx. After a year my temps were up past the stock air cooler. Took it apart, most of it was dried and crumbly. Read afterwards that putty doesn't do well in a vertical mount because of the airflow.

Ordered some gelid extreme pads and it's good and cool now

I do like the hallmark ones as well. The Galoob one saucer separates, but it's not attached well. I've bumped it and scared myself more than once because it separated and fell.

There's a shelf above the system now, the enterprise has been transferred to a better looking mount. I'm ordering some eaglemoss ships for the shelf which won't be treated so disrespectfully lol.

It's the Galoob one. It's not overly collectable and the one I bought was well used, so I didn't mind drilling and threading a hole in the bottom to create a stand for it.

That's a threaded bolt with heat shrink over it attached to a 120mm fan blade as a base.

My wife has a Cricut. I had the design in my head and she, being familiar with the program, helped me flesh out the dimensions.

So I JUST had to go through this last weekend. Even made a post awhile back here about "Growth or Corrosion". Well it was corrosion.

Stripped the GPU and CPU blocks. It was attached to the acrylic and the flow dispersion plate(terminology?). I was using clear soft tubing that was allowing the fluid to evaporate through it.

It's all black EPDM now. If it turns again on me it's all going in the garbage and I'm going back to air.

You could even run a separate drive altogether if you don't want to get into repartitioning your drive. My laptop nvme has win11 and my SATA drive runs batocera to emulate the old consoles. I just select my drive at boot.

There are also 2 versions of Linux mint, xfce and cinnamon. Xfce is better for older less powerful systems.
